Fantasy Hockey 2015-16: Waiver Wire Update 1/14
Fantasy Hockey Daily Leagues: Sleeper Picks and Advice for Tonight's Matchups
January 14, 2016
We’ve got a pretty busy NHL schedule coming up tonight, so there will be a lot of activity out there in our seasonal and daily fantasy hockey leagues. Before we sit down and check out the games, let’s take a look at some of the notable waiver wire trends out there to see if anyone’s worth picking up in the meantime.
Andrew Shaw, RW, Chicago Blackhawks: Shaw is one of the hotter waiver wire pickups over the past couple of days. He’s coming off two goals against the Predators, giving him four points and a plus-5 rating over his last two games.
Shaw has eight goals and 12 assists on the season so far and is getting ice time in the mid-teens lately. He’ll be in Montreal tonight.

Louis Domingue, G, Arizona Coyotes: Domingue is on quite the streak lately. He allowed three goals in his last appearance, but still got the win, his fourth in a row.
Domingue has allowed a total of six goals over his four-game streak, making at least 25 saves in each one. He’s the hottest goalie pickup right now as the team heads into a home matchup against the Red Wings tonight.
Brock Nelson, C, New York Islanders: Nelson had a huge night against the Blue Jackets, posting three goals, an assist and a plus-3 rating in a 5-2 win.
Nelson has been pretty hot lately. He’s got two assists and four goals in the last our games, posting eight shots on goal in that span. That gives him 17 goals and 10 assists on the year. He’ll try to better that against the Rangers tonight.
Patrik Berglund, C, St. Louis Blues: Berglund played well at home against the visiting Devils in his last game. He managed two goals with three shots in that one. He now has three scores and one assist in his last four outings.
Berglund seems to be warming up to the NHL, and is showing some real promise. The Blues’ home-stand continues tonight against the Hurricanes.
Max Domi, C/LW, Arizona Coyotes: Domi is still available in about 1/3 of the leagues out there, and should be owned. He’s coming off a hat trick against Edmonton, helping his team to a 4-3 win.
On the season, Domi boasts 13 goals and 18 assists. His plus-minus isn’t that great normally (plus-1) but it shouldn’t bring you down. The Coyotes will go for five wins in a row tonight against the Red Wings.
