February, 4, 2016
There are a dozen NHL games on the schedule tonight, so there will be plenty of action going on in seasonal and daily fantasy hockey leagues. With that in mind, let’s visit with some of the notable waiver wire adds out there and see who might make a good addition to your team.
Nazem Kadri, C, Toronto Maple Leafs: Kadri is near the top of the waiver wire charts right now, thanks to a solid showing in his return from the All-Star break. He logged a goal, an assist and a plus-3 rating with three shots in a win at Boston.
Kadri now has 11 goals and 17 assists on the season, and three goals in his last four games. He will get New Jersey at home tonight.

Brayden Schenn, C/LW, Philadelphia Flyers: Schenn is still available in over 60 percent of the leagues out there, and owners need to kick the tires here at least. He had a goal and an assist in his return from the break against Montreal.
Schenn has six points in his last four games: three goals and three assists. On the year, he has 13 scores and 15 helpers. He will be in Nashville tonight for the Predators.
J.T. Miller, C, New York Rangers: The Rangers are one of the most inconsistent teams in the NHL right now, but Miller has been very reliable lately. He came back from the break to bag two goals and a plus-2 rating with three shots on goal in the Devils loss.
Miller has seven goals in his last seven games, and 11 in his last 20. That gives him 15 scores to go along with 12 helpers and a plus-11 rating on the year. He will get the Wild tonight at the Garden.
Alec Martinez, D, Los Angeles Kings: Martinez started out his post-break campaign in a very strong way in Arizona. He put up a goal and an assist with a plus-2 mark in that one.
On the season, Martinez has six goals and 12 assists. His plus-minus is great, too; it’s sitting at plus-14 right now. He’s a nice low-end defenseman good for a handful of hits and shots on goal each game. He’ll get Anaheim tonight.
Vincent Trochek, C/RW, Florida Panthers: Trochek put up a nice line in DC, posting an assist and a goal with a plus-2 mark against the Caps. That gives him five points in his last three games.
Trochek has 15 scores and 14 assists on the year, and seems to be on a nice roll right now. Give him a look for the incoming Red Wings tonight.
