We’ve got a very busy NHL evening ahead of us, so there will be plenty of action out there in seasonal and daily fantasy hockey leagues. That said, let’s visit with some of the key players on the waiver wire and see who’s trending right now.

Brayden Schenn, C/LW, Philadelphia Flyers: Schenn is still available in a little under half of the leagues out there, and with the way he’s playing it won’t be that way for long. He’s coming off a goal and an assist with a plus-2 rating in his last outing in Toronto.
Schenn has three goals and three assists in his last four games alone, giving him 18 scores and 18 helpers on the year. He will play tonight in Carolina.

Erik Haula, C/LW, Minnesota Wild: Haula set a new personal high for the season in points this weekend, bagging a goal and two assists with a plus-3 mark in the big win over Chicago.
Haula and the Wild have won their last four games straight, scoring at least five goals in each game. During that span, he’s got five assists and two goals. He’ll try for more at home against the Isles tonight.

Rickard Rakell, C, Anaheim Ducks: Rakell kept his points streak going in his last appearance, logging an assist against the Flames. That gives him two goals and three assists in his last four games overall.
Rakell has 15 goals and 18 assists on the season so far and is widely available in most fantasy leagues. He will be at home against the incoming Sabres tomorrow.

Mikko Koivu, C, Minnesota Wild: We’ve talked about Koivu once or twice in this space before, and he’s trending again. He has points in five of his last seven outings, logging two goals and five assists in that span.
Koivu has 12 goals and 30 assists on the season, yet he’s only owned in about half of the fantasy leagues out there. He’s a nice pickup for tonight against the Islanders.

Jannik Hansen, RW, Vancouver Canucks: Hansen has a nice run going right now. He’s coming off two goals and a plus-3 rating against the Avalanche, which gives him four goals and two assists in just the last six games.
On the season, Hansen has 19 goals, 13 assists and a sweet plus-19 rating overall. He and the Canucks won’t be back on the ice again until Thursday, however.
