July 18, 2016
Today is Monday, which is always a great opportunity for us fantasy baseball owners to take stock of our rosters ahead of the big MLB match-ups early in the week. That said, let’s visit the waiver wire and see which guys out there are trending as pickups right now.
Sandy Leon, C, Boston Red Sox: Let’s kick things off behind the plate and visit Leon out in Boston. in his last three starts, he’s been tearing it up with seven hits, three runs, one homer and four RBI.

Leon is hitting a nice .458 with two home runs and 13 RBI so far. Backstop is a tough position this year, so he’s a decent pickup ahead of the Giants series tomorrow.
Howie Kendrick, 1B/2B/3B/OF, Los Angeles Dodgers: Kendrick is rocking right now as a utility add. In his last eight games, he’s got five runs, a homer and five RBI to his credit.
on the season, Kendrick is hitting .271 with four homers, 21 RBI and seven stolen bases. that makes him a very nice all-around pickup at the moment. Kendrick and the Dodgers will start in against the Nationals tomorrow.
Tommy Pham, OF, St. Louis Cardinals: Want a deep-league add in the outfield? Pham is your man right now, even though he went 0-for-4 in yesterday’s game. Prior to that, Pham put up eight hits five games, logging four runs, three homers and five RBI in the process.
On the year, Pham is hitting .302 with five homers and seven RBI. He’s still available in roughly 95 percent of the leagues out there, so as long as he’s hitting he’s worth a spin against the Padres this week.
Mike Leake, SP, St. Louis Cardinals: Moving on to the pitcher’s mound, Leake is a trending add right now. he’s coming off a seven-inning win against Milwaukee, which broke a string of three losses.
Leake is sitting on six wins with a 4.14 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP in 111 innings. He’s still available in almost 60 percent of the fantasy leagues out there ahead of today’s start against the Padres.
Kendall Graveman, SP, Oakland Athletics: Digging deeper into today’s starter pool, we’ve got Graveman. He’s got two straight wins to his credit, and three victories in his last four games (five on the year).
Graveman is sitting on a 4.37 ERA and a 1.43 WHIP so far, and will take on the Astros tomorrow. He’s still available in roughly 94 percent of the fantasy leagues out there.
