Fantasy Football Update 11/19/16: Week 11 Key Matchups
Fantasy Football Sleepers, Matchup Plays and Waiver Wire Picks for Week 11
November 19, 2016
Fantasy football Week 11 is almost upon us, so it’s time to get those lineups solidified heading into Sunday. With that in mind, let’s visit the waiver wire to check out a few trending sleepers and matchup plays for this week.
Duke Johnson, RB, Cleveland Browns: This week should be a positive one for Johnson, that is if you haven’t lost faith in him already. He’s managed just 72 yards over his last two games against the Steelers—who he plays tomorrow—but there’s good news here too.

Pittsburgh is giving up the third-most fantasy points to opposing running backs this year, which could bode well for Johnson to have a breakout game.
Jack Doyle, TE, Indianapolis Colts: Doyle had a couple of good weeks about a month ago, but hasn’t done much since, logging 6.1 fantasy points in his most recent outing.
That said, Doyle has a reasonably good matchup looming tomorrow against Tennessee. The Titans are giving up the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this year. He’ll likely be touchdown-dependent, though.
Eddie Royal, WR, Chicago Bears: With Alshon Jeffery gone for the next month, Royal has picked up a few new owners this week. The bad news is that he logged just two targets and one 24-yard catch in his first game back against Tampa.
On the positive side, Royal will definitely get an uptick in targets here as the Bears try to fill in the gaps. He gets a pretty nice matchup against the Giants secondary in this game, too.
Julius Thomas, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars: Remember when Thomas was a must-start tight end in fantasy? That seems like ages ago now, and he hasn’t posted a double-digit outing since Week 1.
The Jags offense is pretty darn bad, and it doesn’t help that Thomas keeps losing playing time to better blockers. Still, he gets a very nice matchup tomorrow in Detroit. He’s just got to stay on the field.
Kenneth Dixon, RB, Baltimore Ravens: Dixon is an up-and-coming running back for the Ravens who is beginning to see some activity in deeper fantasy leagues. He’s coming off eight fantasy points and a season-high 11 touches against the Browns.
Dixon’s matchup against the Cowboys this week isn’t that great, but his increased usage in the Baltimore offense is certainly encouraging.
