Fantasy Football 2017: Week 14 Waiver Wire
The Trending Waiver Wire Pickups and Sleepers in Fantasy Football Week 14
December 5, 2017
The weekend games are in the rearview mirror, so it’s time to start getting keyed up for Week 14 in the fantasy football season. Let’s check out the waiver wire and visit with a few of the trending adds out there.
Giovani Bernard, RB, Cincinnati Bengals: After a painful game against the Steelers on Monday, Bernard is the top guy on the wire right now. He put up 77 rush yards on 13 carries and added a couple of pass catches.

With Jeremy Hill on IR and Joe Mixon banged up with a concussion, Bernard looks like a sensible add ahead of Sunday’s game against the Bears.
Cincinnati Bengals Defense: Before we leave Cincinnati, let’s take a look at their defense, which is also a trendy add even though they’ve scored just eight combined points over the past two weeks.
The Bengals have three double-digit outings on their stat sheet this year, and they could be in for another good one this week against the Bears. Chicago gives up a lot of fantasy points to opposing defenses.
Mike Davis, RB, Seattle Seahawks: Let’s move back to RB for a moment and check out Davis. he managed 10.1 fantasy points last week, posting 45 of 62 snaps against the Eagles.
It’s looking like Davis has a good shot at being the lead back once again this week against the Jaguars, and that should continue for the next few weeks. Jacksonville’s not the greatest matchup in the world, though.
Cameron Brate, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Brate is still out there in almost 45 percent of fantasy leagues, but that’s bound to change this week. He put up 15.9 points in Green Bay last weekend.
The drawback here is that Brate has only six catches in his last five games, but he did bag a pair of TDs against the Pack. He gets a pretty good matchup against the Lions this week as well.
Marquise Goodwin, WR, San Francisco 49ers: Let’s finish up with Goodwin, whom we’ve examined in this space once or twice before. He’s coming off eight catches for 99 yards against Chicago.
Goodwin seems to have pretty good chemistry with new Niners QB Jimmy Garoppolo, so he’s not a bad pickup heading into a nice matchup versus the Texans.
