Fantasy Football 2017: Week 14 Sleepers
The Trending Waiver Wire Pickups and Sleepers in Fantasy Football Week 14
December 6, 2017
Week 14 in the NFL will be on us tomorrow, so it’s a prime opportunity to check out the fantasy football wavier wire for some sensible adds and sleeper prospects. Let’s take a closer look at some of the trending names out there.
Peyton Barber, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Barber is still out there in over 80 percent of leagues, but people are catching on to his big possibilities. He’s put up at least 12.7 fantasy points in each of his last two games.

Barber got 23 carries last week and turned them into 102 yards, then added 41 yards in the air. He gets a nice matchup against Detroit this week.
Stephen Anderson, TE, Houston Texans: It’s not often we get to see viable tight ends in this space, but Anderson fits that bill and is available in over 90 percent of fantasy leagues out there.
Anderson put up a nice outing last week with 13.9 points, 12 targets, five catches, 79 yards and a TD. He’ll be the starting tight end and is up for a big workload against the Niners this week.
Josh McCown, QB, New York Jets: Word is getting out in fantasy about McCown, who is experiencing something of a resurgence this year with the Jets. He’s still out there in almost 60 percent of leagues, though.
McCown has one TD pass or more in eight straight games, and he’s put up at least 25 fantasy points in each of his last two. He gets a really nice matchup against a bad Denver secondary this week.
Buffalo Bills Defense: It’s been a while since the Bills defense has been fantasy-relevant, but they’re getting some looks this week ahead of a matchup against the Colts.
The Bills haven’t hit double-digit fantasy points since Week 8, but they have done it three times this year and will have a good shot at it versus Indy. The Colts are giving up the second-most points to opposing defenses in fantasy this year.
Dede Westbrook, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars: Westbrook has earned some accolades in lower-end fantasy circles over the past three weeks. He’s got 25 targets in that span and 15 total catches.
Westbrook seems to be settling into a nice role in the Jags offense, and is developing some solid chemistry with Blake Bortles. He gets a matchup against Seattle at home this week.
