We’re heading into the playoffs in most fantasy football formats, as Week 15 in the NFL will be getting started in a couple of days. With that in mind, let’s check out a few notable waiver wire additions who could help propel your team to a championship.

New Orleans Saints Defense: We’ll start out today on defense, as New Orleans is a trendy add right now. They’re coming off eight points last week and have hit at least 14 four times this year.

The appeal of the Saints D this week is that they’re playing the Jets, who just lost their starting QB to injury. New Orleans should be able to take advantage and snag some nice numbers.

Nick Foles, QB, Philadelphia Eagles: Carson Wentz owners are scrambling for an alternative right now, but they don’t have to look too far for a replacement.

Foles will be stepping into the starting quarterback role in Philly, and he’s shown some significant playmaking ability during his NFL tenure. He gets a nice matchup right out of the gate against the lowly Giants.

Theo Riddick, RB, Detroit Lions: Riddick has come on over the past couple of weeks, rushing 19 times for three touchdowns and a total of 33.5 fantasy points.

Riddick is averaging around 15 touches per game, which isn’t too bad for a flex guy. He should carry a solid load this week versus the Bears, who are giving up 4.0 yards per carry to opposing running backs.

Blake Bortles, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars: If you’re not able to snag Foles, Bortles is a nice option as well for the QB-needy. He bagged 268 yards, two touchdowns and 18.52 fantasy points last week against Seattle.

Over the last three weeks, Bortles has posted 23.6, 25.06 and 18.52 fantasy points. He’s getting a hand from his opportunistic defense and goes into a solid matchup versus the Texans this week.

Dede Westbrook, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars: Elsewhere in Jacksonville, Westbrook is a trendy pickup. He managed five catches on eight targets for 81 yards and a score against Seattle last week.

Westbrook has led the Jaguars in targets in two of the last three weeks, so it’s clear Bortles is looking for him. This week against Houston (who has given up the seventh-most fantasy points to wide receivers), Westbrook should have a solid load again.
