C- Yadier Molina (C St. Louis Cardinals) Molina is 12 for 35 with 3 2B, 1 HR, 2 R, and 5 RBI vs Jon Lester (SP Chicago Cubs). I would not start a catcher in a Fan Duel lineup on April 18 because there are enough quality 1B options.
Alternate C: Yadier Molina (C St. Louis Cardinals) is the only catcher I would consider starting on April 18 but againI would not start a catcher in a Fan Duel lineup on April 18 because there are enough quality 1B options.

1B- Eric Thames (1B Milwaukee Brewers) ($3400) Thames does not have any career stats vs Tyler Mahle (SP Cincinnati Reds) but he is a Reds killer terrorizing Reds pitching last year and Thames hit another HR on April 17 vs the Reds.
Alternate 1B: Matt Olson (1B Oakland Athletics) ($3600) does not have any career stats vs Carson Fulmer (SP Chicago White Sox) but the A’s are on a roll and I feel like they will steamroll the White Sox again on April 18 like they have the first 2 games of the series.
2B- Ian Kinsler (2B Los Angeles Angels) ($3800) came off the DL in midseason form and is 9 for 20 with 1 2B, 1 3B, 3 R, and 7 RBI vs Rick Porcello (SP Boston Red Sox). Several Angels hitters hit Porcello very well so the opportunity for runs should be there for Kinsler.
Alternate 2B: Javier Baez (2B Chicago Cubs) ($4200) has been great the last week plus and he went 3 for 4 with a HR and 2 RBI on April 17. The Cubs had a lot of success vs Luke Weaver (SP St. Louis Cardinals) in his brief career and Javier Baez is included on the list of Cubs going 2 for 4 with a 3 run HR vs Weaver.
SS- Addison Russell (SS Chicago Cubs) ($3200) is 2 for 3 with 1 2B, 1 HR, 2 R, and 5 RBI vs Luke Weaver (SP St. Louis Cardinals). There are not many good options at SS on April 18 so I can’t ignore these stats and Luke Weaver’s 12.86 career ERA vs the Cubs.
Alternate SS: Andrelton Simmons (SS Los Angeles Angels) ($3500) is cooling off going 0 for 8 in his last 3 games but is 5 for 15 with 1 HR, 2 R, and 2 RBI vs Rick Porcello (SP Boston Red Sox)
3B- Cory Spangenberg (3B San Diego Padres) ($2400) is 3 for 10 with 1 2B, 2 HR, 3 R, and 3 RBI vs Kenta Maeda (SP Los Angeles Dodgers). Spangenberg only plays vs right handed starting pitchers and can also be a decent source for stolen bases in daily fantasy leagues.
Alternate 3B: Jed Gyorko (3B St. Louis Cardinals) is reduced to a bench role primarily but will play vs lefties and is 6 for 19 with 2 solo HR vs Jon Lester (SP Chicago Cubs). Make sure he is in the starting lineup but April 18’s game is a day game which helps fantasy owners make last minute lineup changes.
OF- David Peralta (OF Arizona Diamondbacks) ($3400) does not have any career stats vs Chris Stratton (SP San Francisco Giants) but usually hits right handed pitchers well and hits even better at home. If you’re looking for a cheaper option in a great lineup, pick David Peralta on April 18.
OF- Adam Duvall (OF Cincinnati Reds) ($3000) has a great history at Miller Park and is 7 for 22 with 1 2B, 1 HR, 2 R, and 4 RBI vs Zach Davies (SP Milwaukee Brewers). Duvall is 5 for 13 with 1 HR, 2 R, and 2 RBI in his last 3 games and hit 30 plus HR the last 2 seasons. Although Duvall is off to a very rough start this season, the HR will come and I think Duvall is definitely heating up.
OF- Mookie Betts (OF Boston Red Sox) ($4900) is rounding into midseason form and hit 3 HR on April 17. You always want to mix in a few studs with streamers in your daily Fan Duel or Draft Kings lineups and why not pick Betts coming off this monster game. I love the matchup with lefty Skaggs.
Alternate OF: JD Martinez (OF Boston Red Sox) ($4100) is my #1 choice on April 18. Martinez has not faced Skaggs much but I think Skaggs big curve ball is going to get hit out of the park by either Martinez or Betts or both.
Michael Conforto (OF New York Mets) ($4200), Hunter Renfroe (OF San Diego Padres) ($3300), and Kole Calhoun (OF Los Angeles Angels) ($2800) are other good alternate options on April 18.
U- Albert Pujols (1B Los Angeles Angels) ($3500) is having a nice rebound season and is 9 for 26 with 3 2B, 1 HR, 6 R, and 3 RBI vs Rick Porcello (SP Boston Red Sox).
Alternate U: Matt Olson (1B Oakland Athletics) ($3600) does not have any career stats vs Carson Fulmer (SP Chicago White Sox) but the A’s are on a roll and I feel like they will steamroll the White Sox again on April 18 like they have the first 2 games of the series.
SP- JA Happ (SP Toronto Blue Jays) ($8900) is facing the punchless Kansas City Royals at home who only have a combined .121 batting average vs Happ. Happ is facing Ian Kennedy (SP Kansas City Royals) whio allows a lot of HR’s so Happ has a great opportunity for a win, 7-9 K’s, and not many ER allowed (2-3 ER allowed tops is my prediction).
Alternate SP: Carlos Carrasco (SP Cleveland Indians) ($9300) dominated the AL Central in 2017 and is doing it again in 2018 coming off a complete game shutout vs the Detroit Tigers in his last start and pitched well vs the Kansas City Royals in the start before that. Carrasco is facing Jose Berrios (SP Minnesota Twins) so a win might be a challenge but he should pitch well and will be very motivated facing young phenom Berrios.
Andrew Triggs (SP Oakland Athletics) ($8000) is a nice streamer option on April 18 as he should rack up some K’s facing a slumping Chicago White Sox lineup and should have a great opportunity at a win. If you can’t afford Carrasco or Happ on your Fan Duel or Draft Kings lineup, start Andrew Triggs on April 18.
