Daily Fantasy Baseball (DFS) - MLB FanDuel Lineup - 5/26/18

It’s Saturday May 26th, 2018 and let’s take a look at the lineup I have going for tonight’s “Main” slate (7:15 EST) for the MLB FanDuel contests.

As always, remember to check the weather and the starting lineups when they are released as you don’t want to find out before it’s too late that you have someone in your lineups that isn’t going to be playing tonight!

If you want to sneak peak of my lineup before this article is released, remember to check out my video posted on Sports Chat Place Facebook page!

Here is my current lineup for today:

P – Alex Wood (LAD - $8,700) – I’m going to go with Alex Wood of the Dodgers tonight at the pitching position as the Dodgers left-hander has pitched really well as of late and comes into this game with a 3.32 ERA and 1.02 WHIP. Wood hasn’t allowed more than 2 ER’s in his last 4 starts and pitched well earlier in the season agianst the Padres, giving up no runs while striking out 7 over 5.1 IP. Wood has a respectable 8.05 K/9 ratio and should have a good opportunity for some K’s tonight as San Diego ranks next to last in MLB in team strikeout rate. Wood is holding opponents to just a .229 batting average and as I expect him to continue his recent stretch of strong outings, I like him tonight at a reasonable $8,700 salary.

C/1B – Buster Posey (SF - $2,700) –  Buster Posey is having a solid season with the Giants as the veteran catcher is hitting .297 on the season with 2 HR’s and 16 RBI’s. Posey has a decent matchup agianst the LHP Jose Quintana who is allowing RHB’s to post a .275 average and .857 OPS against him on the season. Posey has been solid agianst LHP’s this year as he has a .294 average and .913 OPS against them and has been solid as of late as he is hitting .328 so far in the month of May. Posey has a .333 average (2 for 6) with a HR against Quintana in his career and as Quintana can give up HR’s, I think Posey has some great value at just $2,700 today.

2B – Brian Dozier (MIN $3,900) – Brian Dozier is hitting just .238 on the season but does have 7 HR’s and 19 RBI’s and looks as if he is starting to get it going has he is hitting .333 with 4 doubles over his past 4 games. Dozier will be up agianst the LHP Wade LeBlanc of the Seattle Mariners who although has pitched well so far this season, still is the same pitcher who has a career 4.30 ERA and 1.35 WHIP. Dozier has a .553 slugging percentage and .915 OPS against LHP over the past three seasons and as he is hitting much better during night games this season, I think it’s only a matter of time until some of those doubles start turning into HR’s for the Twins second baseman.

3B – Evan Longoria (SF - $2,800) – Similar to Buster Posey, I think Longoria comes in tonight’s game with great value with his matchup against the LHP Jose Quintana of the Cubs. Longoria is hitting just .246 on the season but still has shown some decent pop in his bat as he has 8 HR’s and 24 RBI’s on the year. Longoria has always been a dangerous hitter agianst LHP over his career and it’s no different this season as Longoria comes into this game with a .317 average, .619 slugging percentage, and .972 OPS agianst lefties. Longoria has a career .313 average against Quintana and I’m hoping for a HR from him tonight.

SS – Jose Peraza (CIN - $3,100) – Jose Peraza will be at Coors Field tonight and although he Reds shortstop doesn’t provide a huge amount of power, he has shown to put together some nice games this season by getting on base and scoring runs. Peraza comes into this game with a  .243 average with 2 HR’s and 11 RBI’s however, has always played well agianst the Rockies as over the past three seasons he has a .308 average agianst Colorado. Peraza will be up agianst the LHP Tyler Anderson and has hit LHPs better this season and as he has a .333 average with a HR at Coors Field over his past three seasons, I think he has some nice value for just $3,100.

OF – Charlie Blackmon (COL - $4,700) –  I’m going with a complete Colorado outfield tonight as the wind will be blowing out at Coors Field and that the Rockies have a favorable matchup agianst Tyler Mahle who has really struggled giving up HR’s this season. Blackmon is hitting just .269 on the season but does have 12 HR’s and 23 RBI’s on the season. Blackmon has picked it up as of late as he has hits in 6 of his last 7 games and is hitting .292 over the past week. Blackmon has hit .314 with a .939 OPS against RHP over his past three seasons and has generally crushed the ball at Coors Field as over that same time period, he has posted a .353 average with a 1.023 OPS at home. Mahle is fly-ball pitcher which is bad news at Coors Field and as I think Blackmon is overdue for a big game, he is also my “Long Ball Lock” for tonight.

OF – Gerardo Parra (COL - $3,200) – Gerardo Parra is starting to see regular playing time agianst RHP and has been decent this season as he comes into this game with a .275 average with 3 HR’s and 13 RBI’s. Parra has hits in 3 of his last 4 games which includes a HR and has been solid agianst RHP this season as he has posted a .291 average with 2 HR’s against them. Parra is hitting .338 so far in the month of May and as Mahle is allowing LHB’s to post a .966 OPS agianst him, I like Parra and basically any LHB Rockies bat tonight.

OF – David Dahl (COL - $3,200) – You’ll have to make sure that both Parra and Dahl are playing over Carlos Gonzalez however, with Gonzalez struggling this season, it’s open the door for Dahl to get more playing time and I expect to see him in the lineup tonight. Dahl is hitting .266 on the season with 2 HR’s and 7 RBI’s but has some nice power and also went 2 for 4 last night in the Colorado’s victory over the Reds. Dahl has a .333 average, .500 slugging percentage, and a .890 OPS against RHP on the season and as he has also posted a .364 average and 1.023 OPS at home, I expect Dahl to be heavily owned tonight at this price.

Utility – Ben Zobrist (CHC - $2,600) – Ben Zobrist continues to produce and I’m fine with his salary staying at this affordable price agianst a struggling Chris Stratton of the Giants tonight. Stratton hasn’t last past the 5th inning in each of his last three starts and has also given up 6 HR’s over his last 5 starts. Zobrist is hitting .296 on the season with 2 HR’s and 13 RBI’s and has a .353 average with a HR over the past week. The switch-hitting Zobrist has a .299 average and .836 OPS vs. RHP on the season and as was a the top of the Cubs batting order last night, I like going with Zobrist tonight with my last $2,600.

Have a great Saturday everyone and Good Luck tonight!
