OF - Replaced Joc Pederson with Teoscar Hernandez
Good Luck!

It’s Wednesday June 6th, 2018 and let’s take a look at the lineup I have going for tonight’s “Main” slate (7:05 EST) for the MLB DraftKings contests.

As always, remember to check the weather and the starting lineups when they are released as you don’t want to find out before it’s too late that you have someone in your lineups that isn’t going to be playing tonight!

If you want to sneak peak of my lineup before this article is released, remember to check out my video posted on YouTube or our Sports Chat Place Facebook page!

Here is my current lineup for today:

P – Lance McCullers Jr. (HOU - $10,500) – I’m paying up for both my pitchers tonight for DraftKings and will first will be going with Lance McCullers Jr. who had a nice matchup against the Seattle Mariners. McCullers comes into this game with a 7-3 record with posting a 3.89 ERA and 1.17 WHIP. McCullers has had a couple of tough outings as of late against Cleveland and Boston, however, I think he in for a big bounce performance against Seattle tonight. McCullers is holding the current Mariners lineup to a .178 average while striking them out about 40% of the time. McCullers has a solid 9.3 K/9 ratio on the season and has been great at home, holding opponents to a .216 average and posting a 1.97 ERA. McCullers dominated Seattle earlier this season, going 7 innings giving up just 1 hit and 1 ER while striking out 11 and I don’t see why he can’t have similar performance against the Mariners tonight.

P – Jose Quintana (CHC - $8,800) – I was temped to go with the Dodgers prospect, Caleb Ferguson, however, decided to go with Jose Quintana who comes in pitching much better than what we saw from him in April. Quintana has a 6-4 record on the season while posting a 4.30 ERA and 1.41 WHIP. He had held his opponents scoreless in two of his last three starts and will be facing off against the Philadelphia Phillies who he is holding the currently Phillies lineup to just a .217 average. Quintana has a respectable 8.7 K/9 ratio and will be facing a Philadelphia team that ranks 29th in team strikeout rate and 22nd in team average vs. LHP. Quintana posted a solid 3.09 ERA in the month of May and as he is capable of putting up a big game, I’ll take my chances with him tonight at this price.

C – Yadier Molina (STL - $3,300) – I was looking for some value today at the catcher’s position and I think I found it with the Cardinals Yadier Molina who just came off the DL yesterday. Molina has been solid at the plate this season, posting a .271 average with a 6 HR’s and 18 RBI’s and has a great matchup against the LHP Wei-Yin Chen of the Miami Marlins on Wednesday. Chen has really struggled in his four starts on the road this season and as I think the Cardinals are one of the better stacks of the day, I like Molina batting right in the middle the order. Molina is hitting .295 at home this season and generally has hit well against the Marlins as over the past three seasons he has posted a .297 average against Miami.

1B – Yuli Gurriel (HOU - $3,500) – Yuli Gurriel comes into his matchup tonight with a .290 average with a HR and 19 RBI’s on the season and has been hot as of late as he has hit .368 over the past week and currently has an 11-game hitting streak. Gurriel is up against the LHP Wade LeBlanc of the Seattle Mariners who although has pitched well for Seattle, struggled in his last outing against the Astros as in just two innings of relief, LeBlanc gave up 5 hits and 4 ER’s. Gurriel is hitting .310 with a .747 OPS vs. LHP on the season and we know he has HR power as he hit 18 HR’s last year, I don’t think it will be long until some of these hits start flying over the fence in Houston.

2B – Ian Kinsler (LAA - $3,500) – Ian Kinsler isn’t having his best season with the Angels as the veteran second-baseman is hitting just .207 on the season with 5 HR’s and 12 RBI’s, but you have to like him in his matchup against the Royals Ian Kennedy has been hit hard as of late and comes into this matchup with a 6.08 ERA and 1.62 WHIP. Kennedy last outing last just 3 innings after he allowed Oakland to score 8 ER’s (3 HR’s) against him and he has struggled this season against RHB’s, allowing them to post a .305 average against him. Kinsler is hitting .276 over the past week with 2 HR’s and also has been better against RHP on the season as 4 of his 5 HR’s have come against righties. Kinsler is 8 for 23 (.348 average) with 2 HR’s against Kennedy in his career and I don’t see why he can’t continue that success tonight.

3B – Miguel Andujar (NYY - $3,900) – Miguel Andujar is starting to heat up against and has been a nice surprise for the Yankees this season as the third-baseman is currently hitting .305 on the season with 7 HR’s and 26 RBI’s. Over the past week, Andujar is hitting .389 with 3 doubles, 2 HR’s, and 8 RBI’s which included a grand slam in last night’s game against the Blue Jays. Andujar will be up against the RHP Sam Giglio of the Blue Jays tonight who had given up 4 HR’s over his past two starts. Andujar has posted a .336 average with a .938 OPS vs. RHP’s on the season and also has been good away from Yankee Stadium as he has posted a .305 average and .928 OPS on the road this season.

SS – Yairo Munoz (STL - $3,900) – I’m going with Yairo Munoz at SS today who had done a nice job filling in for the injured Paul DeJong who is currently on the DL with a hand injury. Munoz is hitting .295 on the season with 2 HR’s and 11 RBI’s in just 61 AB’s. Munoz will be up against the LHP Wei-Yin Chen of the Marlins who currently has a 2.3 HR/9 ratio and is allowing RHB’s to post a .923 OPS against him on the season. Munoz has a .733 slugging percentage and 1.086 OPS vs. LHP on the season and between the fact that he has HR-upside and has a .316 average over the past week, I think he is solid option tonight.

OF – J.D. Martinez (BOS- $5,200) –  There is not enough time to even remotely explain how good J.D. Martinez has been for the Red Sox so I’ll try to sum it up quickly. Martinez is hitting .318 average with 20 HR’s and 52 RBI’s on the season and continued his dominance of Fenway park last night, crushing a HR early in the game. Martinez will be up against the LHP Blaine Hardy of the Detroit Tigers who although has pitched well so far this season, hasn’t really faced an offense like the Red Sox on the road this season. Hardy is more of a fly-ball pitcher which can be trouble at Fenway Park, especially as it doesn’t take much to get up the Green Monster if you hit high in the air. Martinez has a .311 average vs. LHP on the season and currently has a .352 average, .806 slugging percentage, and 1.206 OPS at home on the year.

OF – Joc Pederson (LAD - $3,800) – Joc Pederson has started to pick it up as of late as although he is hitting just .261 on the season with 4 HR’s and 22 RBI’s, Pederson is hitting .350 over the past week with 3 HR’s. Pederson will be up against the RHP Trevor Williams of the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday who has really struggled as of late as he has allowed at least 4 ER’s in each of his last three starts. Pederson has been great on the road this season, posting a .343 average and 1.097 OPS and has also been solid against RHP, posting a .276 average and .858 OPS. Pederson is 2 for 2 lifetime against Williams and as he certainly has HR power, I like him at this price tonight.

OF – Marcell Ozuna (STL - $3,800) – Marcell Ozuna has finally started to pick it up for the Cardinals as the slugging outfielder has been incredible as of late, hitting .571 with 2 HR’s over the past week. On the season, Ozuna is hitting .281 with 5 HR’s and 29 RBI’s, however, we all know that he is a streaky hitter and is certainly capable of monster games with his power. Ozuna currently has a 4-game hitting streak and has that nice matchup against Wei-Yin Chen of the Marlins who had a 12.21 ERA in 4 starts on the road this season. Ozuna has a .325 average and .816 OPS vs. LHP on the season and as I think he has some solid motivation to perform well against Miami after the Marlins traded him this off season, I like Ozuna tonight.

Have a great Wednesday everyone and Good Luck tonight!
