DFS – Fantasy Baseball – FanDuel Lineups, Picks & Advice – 6/11/18
MLB - Late Slate (7:05 PM) - FanDuel Lineup for 6/11/18
Daily Fantasy Baseball (DFS) - MLB FanDuel Lineup – 6/11/2018
Update (5:14pm) - Hi Everyone! I'm making a few changes to my FanDuel team! With Mookie Betts in the lineup, I think he has some great value at just a $4,500 price. Mookie was up over the $5,000 range prior to his DL stint and has a great match-up against the Orioles. Mookie has 3 HR's vs. Bundy in his career and came into this season has hit .300 with 10 HR's at Camden Yards over his past three seasons.
Here are my changes:
Utility - Replaced Matt Carpenter with Mookie Betts (BOS)
2B - Replaced Ian Kinsler with Jedd Gyorko (STL)
This keeps our Indians/Cardinals stacks together while adding Mookie.
Good Luck everyone!
It’s Monday June 11th, 2018 and let’s take a look at the lineup I have going for tonight’s “Main” slate (7:05 EST) for the MLB FanDuel contests.
As always, remember to check the weather and the starting lineups when they are released as you don’t want to find out before it’s too late that you have someone in your lineups that isn’t going to be playing tonight!
Here is my current lineup for today:
P – Steven Wright (BOS - $6,200) – Steven Wright paid off for us last Tuesday against Detroit and as his price is still really low, I’m going to take my chances with him as I think he has some of the best value on the board tonight. Wright is 2-0 on the season with a 1.57 ERA and 1.04 WHIP and has gone 16 consecutive innings without giving up a run. Wright has a 7.83 K/9 ratio and faced a struggling Orioles team that ranks 23rd in team strikeout rate. Wright is holding opponents to just a .147 average on the season and outside of Manny Machado, the Orioles have really struggled offensively as they rank 28th in MLB in batting average (.226) vs. RHP. Wright is always risk as it can get ugly if the knuckleball isn’t going for him however, this is the same guy that was an All-Star not too long ago and can easily put up a huge game for us tonight against the Orioles.
1B – Yonder Alonso (CLE - $3,400) – I’m going to be stacking the Cleveland Indians tonight against the RHP Lucas Giolito of the Chicago White Sox and it starts with Yonder Alonso. Yonder Alonso is hitting just .245 on the season however, he has shown his great power this year as he has a 11 HR’s and 36 RBI’s and is getting regular playing time with the Indians. Alonso has been much better vs RHP on the season as he has posted a .266 average and .801 OPS against them. Giolito has struggled for most of the season, including getting hit hard by the Indians a couple of starts ago and as Alonso has posted a .545 average, .727 slugging percentage, and a 1.342 OPS vs. the White Sox this season, I like him in my lineup tonight.
2B – Ian Kinsler (LAA - $3,100) – Ian Kinsler got off to a slow start this season as he has missed the first few weeks of the season due to injury and although he is hitting just .229 on the season, he does have 8 HR’s and 17 RBI’s and has been playing some great baseball as of late. Kinsler is hitting .320 with 3 HR’s over the past week and just crushed Minnesota this past weekend in their 3-game series as he hit .500 (6 for 12) with 2 HR’s against the Twins. Kinsler will be up against Wade LeBlanc of the Seattle Mariners who although has pitched well as a starter for the Mainers, is coming off his worst start of the season as he lasted just 4 innings while giving up 3 ER’s on 7 hits vs. the Astros. Kinsler is 2 for 4 lifetime with a double against LeBlanc and although he as struggled against LHP this season, I think those numbers will get better as over the last three seasons he has posted a .299 average, .505 slugging percentage, and a .864 OPS vs. LHP.
3B – Jose Ramirez (CLE - $5,000) – With the money I’ve saved at the pitching positions, I’m able to spend up for the Indians Jose Ramirez tonight who is once again, one of the best players in MLB. Ramirez got off to a slow start to his season however, had a great May and is currently hitting .292 with 19 HR’s and 43 RBI’s. The switch-hitting Ramirez is dangerous from both sides of the plate but you have to like him more from the left-side as he has a .649 slugging percentage and 1.057 OPS vs. RHP including 16 of his 19 HR’s. Ramirez has hits in 4 of his last 5 games and has given the White Sox trouble this season as he currently is 5 for 12 (.417 average/1.000 slugging percentage/1.462 OPS) with 2 HR’s against them on the season. Ramirez is also 2 for 3 lifetime against Giolito with a double, HR, and 2 RBI’s.
SS – Francisco Lindor (CLE - $4,400) – I’m going to have the best that the Indians have to offer tonight at the plate and that includes the switch-hitting Francisco Lindor who has established himself as one of the best SS in the league. Lindor comes into this game with a .291 average with 14 HR’s and 35 RBI’s and although he is hitting just .136 over the past week, went 3 for 5 last night which I imagine will get the superstar going. Lindor will be up against the RHP Lucas Giolito of the White Sox who has really struggled against LHB’s this season, allowing them to post a .294 average, .521 slugging percentage, and a .951 OPS against him. Lindor hasn’t hit for nearly as good as an average as a LHB’s however, does have a .516 slugging percentage with 11 of his 14 HR’s against RHP and I’m hoping for a big night from Lindor tonight.
OF – Tommy Pham (STL - $3,500) – Tommy Pham comes into this game with a .271 average with 9 HR’s, 23 RBI’s, and 9 SB’s. Pham is hitting .286 so far in the month of June and currently is on a 5-game hitting streak however, we haven’t seen much power from Pham as he hasn’t had an extra-base hit since May 26th. Due to his recent lack of power, Pham’s price has dropped a bit which is fine by me as the Cardinals outfield has too much speed/power to keep quiet for much longer. Pham has been solid at home this season, posting a .77 average and .790 OPS and I like his matchup against Jordan Lyles who has struggled much more against RHB’s this season allowing them to post a .279 average against him. Pham is 3 for 5 lifetime with a HR against Lyles in his career and I’m expected Pham to find some of his power tonight in this matchup.
OF – Marcell Ozuna (STL - $3,400) – I’m going to complete my Cardinals stack tonight with Marcell Ozuna who has started to come on as of late for St. Louis. Ozuna comes into this game with a .278 average with 6 HR’s and 32 RBI’s and has hit .333 with a triple and HR over the past week. Ozuna has hits in 8 of his last 9 games which include 3 HR’s and has been outstanding against San Diego this season as he has a .412 average (7 for 17) against the Padres. Ozuna has 5 of his 6 HR’s vs. RHP on the season and has been solid at home this year, posting a .289 average. Ozuna is 4 for 7 against Lyles in his career and as I expect the Cardinals to jump all over Lyles tonight, I think Ozuna will play a large role in that.
OF – Lonnie Chisenhall (CLE - $2,300) – Lonnie Chisenhall has missed the majority of the season due to injury however, I think there is some great value Chisenhall tonight as I imagine he’ll be getting the start against the RHP Lucas Giolito of the White Sox. Chisenhall has played in just 12 games this season and is hitting .270 on the season however, he looked he shook off the rust this past weekend as he went 5 for 14 in the Indians recent series against Minnesota. Chisenhall has HR-power and has put up some monster DFS games in the past. Over the past three seasons he has .274 average with 24 of his 27 HR’s vs. RHP and performed well on the road against the White Sox as he hit .300 at Guaranteed Rate Field last season.
Utility – Matt Carpenter (STL - $3,700) – Similar to the Cleveland Indians, I’m going to be stacking the Cardinals in their matchup against Jordan Lyles of the Padres tonight who has given up 19 ER’s, 31 Hits and 6 ER’s in his past 4 starts. Carpenter has a real tough start to his season but has turned it around over the past couple of weeks and currently is hitting .236 on the season with 8 HR’s and 23 RBI’s. Carpenter is hitting .385 with a HR over the past week and currently has a 6-game hitting streak in which he has recorded multiple hits in three of those games. Carpenter is hitting much better against RHP on the season, posting a .460 slugging percentage and .810 OPS and I think he can continue his recent strong play his matchup against San Diego tonight.
Have a great Monday everyone and Good Luck tonight!
