MLB - Late Slate (7:05 PM) - FanDuel Lineup for 6/13/18
Daily Fantasy Baseball (DFS) - MLB FanDuel Lineup – 6/13/2018
Update (5:43 pm) - Hi Everyone,
Need to make a change with Barnhart not getting the start tonight.
I'm replacing Barnhart with Kike' Hernandez (LAD) as he has a decent match-up agianst Cole Hamels who gives up a bunch of HR's to RHB's and is batting the clean-up spot tonight.
Here is the updated roster!
It’s Wednesday June 13th, 2018 and let’s take a look at the lineup I have going for tonight’s “Main” slate (7:05 EST) for the MLB FanDuel contests.
As always, remember to check the weather and the starting lineups when they are released as you don’t want to find out before it’s too late that you have someone in your lineups that isn’t going to be playing tonight!
Here is my current lineup for today:
P – Trevor Bauer (CLE - $10,200) – I’ve been rolling with Trevor Bauer for the last few starts and there is no way I’m jumping off the Bauer train tonight in his solid matchup against the Chicago White Sox. Bauer is just 5-4 on the year, however, does have a 2.62 ERA and 1.15 WHIP on the year. Bauer has a solid 11.41 K/9 ratio and has been a strikeout machine as of late, posting 36 K’s over his last three starts. Bauer should find success against the White Sox today who come into this matchup ranked 28th in MLB in team strikeout rate and is hitting just .248 vs. RHP. Bauer went 2-0 last year against the White Sox (12.1 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 16 K’s) and as he can pile up the K’s and outs as Cleveland will let him throw 110-120 pitches, I don’t mind paying up for Bauer tonight.
1B – Jose Martinez (STL - $4,400) – Jose Martinez has been on an absolute tear as of late and comes into a great matchup tonight against the Padres with a .322 average, 10 HR’s. Martinez had his 10-game hitting streak snapped last night however, is still hitting .542 with 5 HR’s and 11 RBI’s over the past week and .472 for the month of June. Martinez and the Cardinals have one of the best matchups on the “Main” slate as they are going up against the LHP Eric Lauer of the Padres who gives up HR’s and comes into this game with a 6.64 ERA and 2.06 WHIP. Jose Martinez is hitting a respectable .286 vs. LHP on the season and as I’m going to be stacking the Cardinals vs. Lauer tonight, I want to get Martinez’s bat in my lineup.
2B – Jedd Gyorko (STL - $2,700) – I’m going to be staying in St. Louis for my second-baseman today as I’m going with Jedd Gyorko. Gyorko isn’t an everyday player for the Cardinals but I think he’s been in the lineup tonight against the LHP Eric Lauer. Gyorko is hitting just .254 on the season however, has shown that he still has some good pop in his bat as he has 5 HR’s and 11 RBI’s on the year. Gyorko should have some extra motivation to deliver some damage against his old team and you have to like his chances for a HR tonight against Lauer who has a 1.6 HR/9 ratio. Gyorko has been outstanding in his limited AB’s vs. LHP on the season as he has posted a .400 average, .840 slugging percentage, and a 1.324 OPS in 25 AB’s with 3 of those 10 hits being HR’s.
3B – Justin Turner (LAD - $3,200) – Justin Turner has been battling some wrist injuries which has caused him to miss the majority of the season and is a big reason why he is hitting just .253 with a HR and 10 RBI’s on the year. Turner looked healthy last night in a 2 for 5 performance with a double and I like his matchup against Cole Hamels of the Rangers who has given up at least 2 HR’s in each of his last 4 starts. Turner is hitting .294 vs. LHP on the season and I expect the number to get even better as he gets more AB’s as last year, Turner posted an incredible .380 average, .704 slugging percentage, and 1.181 OPS vs. LHP. Turner has a career .385 average (5 for 13) vs. Hamels and I’m hoping that he can put one over the fences tonight.
SS – Scott Kingery (PHI - $2,400) – Scott Kingery is hitting just .215 average with 3 HR’s and 20 RBI’s however, does come into this game with hits in 4 of his last 6 games which included a 1 for 2 performance last night with a HR, 4 RBI’s, and a BB. I’m stacking a few of the Philadelphia bats tonight against Tyler Anderson of the Rockies and I like the value that Kingery brings to the table, especially if he is hitting out of the 5-hole against tonight. Kingery has hit better at home this season and as he is talented player and seems to be finding his bat again lately, I think his offensive numbers will continue to improve and that he is a decent punt play tonight.
OF – Marcell Ozuna (STL - $4,000) – Marcell Ozuna continues to improve his offensive numbers after a slow start to his season as the slugging outfielder currently is hitting .283 with 7 HR’s and 35 RBI’s on the year. Ozuna currently has a 6-game hitting streak and has posted a .296 average with 2 HR’s and 6 RBI’s over the past week. Ozuna has that nice matchup against the LHP Eric Lauer of the Padres who is allowing RHB’s to post a .336 average, .550 slugging percentage, and a .964 OPS against him on the season. Ozuna has always hit LHP’s hard and is posting a .302 average them this year and Ozuna is also my “Long Ball Lock” of the day as he is 2 for 2 lifetime against Lauer with a HR.
OF – Rhys Hoskins (PHI - $3,400) – Rhys Hoskins came back from a jaw injury a few games ago and although he is just 2 for 9 since returning, he has produced for the Phillies as he has had a HR, 5 RBI’s, and 2 BB’s in that span. Hoskins is hitting just .232 on the season with 7 HR’s and 33 RBI’s but you have to like him tonight as he has some of the best power on the Phillies and will be up against the LHP Tyler Anderson of the Colorado Rockies who comes into this game with a 4.81 ERA and 1.35 WHIP. Anderson hasn’t been great on the road this season, posting a 4.58 ERA and Hoskins has been solid much better vs. LHP posting a .272 average and .882 OPS. Hoskins is patient hitter who will force Anderson to throw him something hittable and I think he’ll be able to tag Anderson for a HR tonight.
OF – Aaron Altherr (PHI - $2,400) – It’s been a struggle for Aaron Altherr this season as he is hitting just .188 on the season however, there is no denying that Altherr has some great HR-upside as he still comes into this game with 6 HR’s and 29 RBI’s despite not being an everyday starter. Altherr should be getting the start against the left-handed Tyler Anderson tonight and I’m hoping that he Altherr can produce like he did a week ago against the Cubs as he went 3 for 10 with a HR and 5 RBI’s in the 3-game series. Altherr hits much better against LHP and as he had 8 HR’s in just 109 AB’s vs. lefties last season, I’m hoping to catch lighting in a bottle tonight with Altherr.
Utility – Tucker Barnhart (CIN - $2,400) – Tucker Barnhart has a huge HR for the Reds last night that helped send the game to extra-innings which really helped our DFS lineups as our Cincinnati stack finally put up some points in the extra-innings. I’m going with Barnhart today as a solid value play as he has a good matchup vs. Jason Hammel of the Kansas Royals who enters this contest with a 5.12 ERA and 1.44 WHIP while allowing opponents to hit .313 against him in home starts. Barnhart is hitting .259 on the season with 4 HR’s and 20 RBI’s and brings some extra value as over the past few weeks he has been batting in the 2nd spot of the order for the Reds. Barnhart is 3 for his last 8 with that big HR last night and as all 4 HR’s this season have come as an LHB, I’ll take my chances with him tonight in a game that could feature a lot of runs.
Have a great Wednesday everyone and Good Luck tonight!
