DFS – Fantasy Baseball – MLB FanDuel Lineups, Picks & Advice – 6/27/18
Update (5:14 PM) - Hi Everyone! Made a few changes to tonight's lineup now that the majority of the lineups have been released.
SS - Replaced Ehire Adrianza with Nich Ahmed - I really like the Diamondbacks matchup agianst the LHP Chen.
OF - Replaced Eddie Roasario with Brandon Nimmo - Nimmo is a steal at just $3,100 in a matchup against Nova with the wind blowing out.
Utility - Replaced Jackie Bradley Jr. with Christian Villanueva - Villanueva curshed LHP and has a good matchup against Mike Minor.
Good Luck Tonight!
We didn’t have as big as a night as we had on Monday however, we did solid in our 50/50’s with a 166.2 point performance and I’ll never be disappointed with cashing! Our Red Sox stack last night did outstanding as all three of our Boston players went deep however, the Padres certainly disappointed in Texas……but that’s probably what we deserve when stacking the Padres.
Let’s keep the strong start to the week going as we look at tonight’s “Main Slate” that starts at 7:05pm!
At the pitching position tonight, I’m going to be taking a chance on Cleveland’s Shane Bieber (P) in his matchup against the Cardinals. Bieber has looked solid in his last two starts for the Indians and comes into this game with a 2.45 ERA and 1.36 WHIP on the season. I like Bieber as he throws a ton of strikes and has the ability to force swinging strikes as evident by his 10.8 K/9 ratio. Bieber certainly has some risk, especially after how good the Cardinals offense looked last night against Kluber, however, Bieber has 50-point upside in this matchup and I’m willing to take my chances with him tonight. If you want to be a little safer with your pitching selecting tonight, as we have $200 left over in salary, you could go with Alex Wood who is my 2nd pitcher in my DraftKings lineup.
We stacked the Red Sox offense last night and I’m going right back with them tonight as although they have a tougher matchup against the LHP Andrew Henley of the Angels, the Red Sox haven’t had any problems hitting the Angels hard and I love the fact that wind will be bellowing out hard to left-field tonight. We’re going right back with J.D. Martinez (OF) and Mookie Betts (OF). Martinez crushed his 24th HR last night and is hitting .364 at Fenway Park this season and there is no way I’m going against Mookie Betts as he has posted an incredible 2.100 OPS (that is not a mistake!!!) against the Angels this season. Eduardo Nunez (P) hasn’t been the same player the Red Sox saw last year but he currently does have a 6-game hitting streak. Jackie Bradley Jr. (OF) is a streaky hitter and has been hitting the ball hard as of late as he has had back to back 3-hit games and I’m encouraged that he is turning it around as he was taking the ball to the opposite field last night.
I’m going to stay at Fenway for my third baseman tonight as I’m going with the Angels Luis Valbuena (3B). Valbuena showed the damage he can do in the Angels recent series against the Blue Jays as he went 4 for 11 in that series with 3 HR’s and is always a solid value play at this position when he is going up against an RHP. Valbuena is hitting just .211 against Rick Porcello in his career, however, he does have a HR against him and as I mentioned, the ball should once against be flying out of Fenway tonight.
I’m going to be targeting a few players from Minnesota tonight in Ehire Adrianza (SS) and Eddie Rosario (OF) as they will be going up against the RHP James Shields of the White Sox who comes into this game with a 4.59 ERA and has allowed 8 HR’s over his past 5 starts. Adrianza went 2 for 3 with a HR last night and has all 4 of his HR’s against RHP on the season. Adrianza had a huge game as a punt play last time we used him (3 for 4, HR, 4 RBI’s, 2 R) and I’m hoping that he can produce for our lineups again. Eddie Rosario is having a monster season for the Twins as he currently has a .315 average, 17 HR’s and 50 RBI’s on the season and has a HR and 5 RBI’s against Shields in 14 career AB’s vs. the righty.
We were able to save some salary so we’re rounding out our lineup with one of the best plays of the night in Arizona’s Paul Goldschmidt (C/1B). Goldschmidt will be up against Wei-Tin Chen who currently has a 6.70 ERA and is allowing RHB’s to post a .314 average and .951 OPS against him. Goldschmidt is one MLB best against LHP as he has posted a .312 average, .714 slugging percentage, and a 1.32 OPS against them on the season and I think he can improve those numbers tonight against Chen.
Please remember to check back for any necessary changes due to “confirmed lineups” and/or weather!
