DFS – Fantasy Baseball – MLB FanDuel Lineups, Picks & Advice – 7/2/18
Update (6:47 PM) - Hi Everyone! Have to replace Duvall as he isn't going to get the start. I'm going with Tyler Naquin of the Indians as he has HR power and going against Junis who has been giving up a bunch of HR's as of late. Good Luck!
Hi Everyone! Our DraftKings team fared better than our FanDuel lineup yesterday, however, with poor performances by Freddy Peralta, Hernan Perez, and Mike Trout, we couldn’t do enough to cash. Let’s get back on track today and start the week off with a win.
I wanted to spend up for Kluber today but really didn’t like the offense lineup I had going so I’ve decided to take my chances with Tampa Bay’s Nathan Eovaldi (P) and the Cardinals Carlos Martinez (P). Eovaldi posted a monster 33-point performance in his last outing against the Nationals (6.0 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 9 K) and has a solid matchup against the Miami Marlins tonight. Eovaldi certainly has the ability to pile up K’s as he has a respectable 7.6 K/9 ratio and the Marlins come into this game ranked 20th in team strikeout rate. Miami has posted just a .243 average/.679 OPS vs. RHP on the season and although Eovaldi has a 4.08 ERA, he is holding opponents to just a .189 average and has an impressive 0.82 WHIP. Martinez has a solid 3.22 ERA on the season and starting to look like he is rounding back into form after a few tough outings after coming off the DL. Martinez has had some control problems this season but if he is on point like he was in his last start against the Indians (6.0 IP, 2 ER, 8 K), I think he could be some great value if he can get us 25-30 points tonight.
I’m going to be stacking the Yankees tonight in their matchup against the RHP Anibal Sanchez of the Atlanta Braves. Sanchez has pitched well this season for the Braves however, he has looked a bit shaky over his last two starts, giving up 6 ER’s in 9.2 IP. Sanchez has been known in the past to give up HR’s and I’m going to be getting Gleyber Torres (2B), Didi Gregorius (SS), Miguel Andujar (3B), and Aaron Judge (OF) in my lineup today. Torres has been everything and more since being called up for the Yankees as he has a .288 average with 15 HR’s and 42 RBI’s. Torres is hitting .304 over the pass week and has 8 HR’s at home this season. Gregorius has hits in 7 of his last 8 games and has posted a .931 OPS at home this season. Judge has some of the best power in the game and has just been an absolute monster at home this season, posting a .357 average, .727 slugging percentage, and a 1.206 OPS. Judge is hitting .350 over the past week and has been much better against RHP on the season. Andujar has been a nice surprise for the Yankees this season and comes into this game with a .282 average, 12 HR’s, and 38 RBI’s. Andujar has a .299 average and .823 OPS vs. RHP on the year.
I have a few Indians in my lineup today in their solid matchup against Jakob Junis who has really struggled as of late as he has given up at least 3 ER’s in each of his last 6 starts while also allowing 10 HR’s in his last 4 starts. I’m going to be paying up Edwin Encarnacion (C/1B) and going with a decent value pick Lonnie Chisenhall (OF). Encarnacion might be hitting just .233 on the season but has 20 HR’s and 56 RBI’s on the season. Encarnacion has 17 for his 20 HR’s vs. RHP and has posted a .834 OPS vs. right-handed pitching on the season. Chisenhall is hitting .350 over the past week with a HR and 5 RBI’s and has a .325 average against RHP on the season.
Rounding out my lineup with be Tampa Bay’s Wilson Ramos (C) and Cincinnati’s Adam Duvall (OF). Ramos has a great matchup against Wei-Yin Chen who comes into this game with a 6.14 ERA and 1.62 WHIP while allowing RHB’s to post a .318 average and .941 OPS against him. Ramos has 11 HR’s on the season and has been hitting be ball well as of late, posting a .300 average in his last 20 AB’s. Duvall has a decent matchup against James Shields of the White Sox tonight who although pitched well last time out, certainly has to ability to give up a ton of runs. Duvall has been great in interleague play this season, posting a .321 average with 3 HR’s in 28 AB’s and absolutely has huge HR-upside which we like when we’re looking for a value pick.
Please check back later as I’ll make any necessary adjustments to the lineup due to “confirmed lineups” and/or weather.
