Hi Everyone! It wasn’t the greatest night for us last night as our Red Sox stack, which was highly owned across the board, too a lot of people down last night as Bogaerts, Mookie, and Martinez combined for just 13 points. We did get a nice start from Brad Keller who more than hit value with his 26.15-point performance while Zack Greinke (19.4 points) was also productive, however, the rest of our offense along with our Red Sox stack struggled as not one of our offense players scored more than five points. Let’s get back to our winning ways tonight as we look at the 8-game “Featured” slate that starts at 7:05 pm.

On the mound tonight, we’re going to pay up a little for the Red Sox David Price (P) and hope to find value with the Angels Felix Pena (P). Price comes into this game with a solid 3.57 ERA and 1.13 WHIP and has pitched like the top of the rotation starter the Red Sox have been waiting for over two months. Price has been lights incredibly solid since June and in his 8 starts since the All-Star break, he has posted a 1.78 ERA while holding opponents to just a .196 average. Price will be up against the Toronto Blue Jays tonight who he has fared well against this season, posting a 3.71 ERA with 17 K’s over 17 IP (3 starts) and this should be a good match-up as the Blue Jays rank just 27th in terms of team batting average vs. LHP (.233). Price can still pile up the K’s as he enters this game with a 9.2 K/9 ratio and is coming off a strong start against the Houston Astros in which he racked up double-digit strikeouts. Pena is a bit riskier of a play, but I think there is some value here with the RHP in his match-up against the Texas Rangers. Pena comes into this game with a respectable 4.04 ERA and 1.26 WHIP on the season while holding his opponents to just a .244 average/.394 slugging percentage. Pena has lasted at least 6.0 IP in each of his last 5 starts (4 quality starts) and in his two starts so far in September, has posted a 1.93 ERA. Pena has a solid 8.7 K/9 ratio on the season and faces a Rangers team that ranks just 21st in team batting average vs. RHP and 27th in team strikeout rate (9.20 K/game). No one on the Texas roster has seen Pena yet in their career which generally is an advantage to the pitcher and as he is reasonable price, I think he’ll hit and exceed his value tonight.

On the offensive end, we’re going to jump right in with the Angels as we’re going to spend up tonight on Mike Trout (OF) in his solid match-up agianst the RHP Yovani Gallardo of the Texas Rangers. Gallardo comes into this game with a 6.22 ERA and 1.60 WHIP on the season while allowing opponents to post a .283 average/.855 OPS agianst him. In his two starts in September, Gallardo has posted a 7.71 ERA and he has struggled on the road this season, posting a 7.67 ERA while allowing opponents to hit .304 against him. Trout comes into this game with a .318 average with 33 HR’s, 68 RBI’s, and 23 SB’s. Trout is hitting a crazy .647 (11-17) over the past week with 2 HR’s and is 4 for 7 (.571 average) with an extra base hit against Gallardo in his career.

We’re going to go back to Boston and have a mini stack of some of their LHB’s in Rafael Devers (3B) and Jackie Bradley Jr. (OF) in their match-up agianst the RHP Aaron Sanchez of the Toronto Blue Jays. Sanchez comes into this game with a 5.17 ERA and 1.61 WHIP and since returning from the DL in late August, the right-hander has allowed 14 ER’s over 14.1 IP (3 starts). Sanchez has been really hurt my LHB’s this season as he is currently allowing them to post a .305 average/.907 OPS against him. It’s been an up and down season for the young Devers as although he is hitting just .239 on the season, he has posted 16 HR’s and 55 RBI’s. Devers has hit better agianst RHP’s on the season, posting a .749 OPS, and although he just came off the DL himself, I like the HR upside he brings at this price and match-up tonight. Bradley Jr, is hitting just .230 on the season but the OF better known for his outstanding defense, does have some solid pop in his bat as he has 12 HR’s and 55 RBI’s on the season. Bradley Jr. has hit much better at Fenway this season, posting a .274 average/.785 OPS and also has had some success agianst Sanchez, posting a .333 average (5 for 15) with a HR and 5 RBI’s.

We’re also going to go with a pair of Chicago Cubs tonight in Victor Caratini (C) and Daniel Murphy (2B) in their big match-up agianst the RHP Chase Anderson of the Milwaukee Brewers. Anderson comes into this game with a 3.95 ERA and 1.16 WHIP on the season, however, he did struggle in August (5.61 ERA over 5 starts) and has had trouble with the HR Ball, allowing 29 HR’s on the season (1.7 HR/9 ratio). Caratini is hitting just .260 on the season with 2 HR’s and 20 RBI’s, however, he has been unbelievably clutch for the Cubies as of late and is 5 for 10 with a 2B, HR, and 6 RBI’s over his last three games. Caratini is a switch-hitter who has fared much better agianst RHP on the season, posting .303 average over 109 AB’s. Murphy comes into this game with a .293 average with 10 HR’s and 36 RBI’s on the season. Murphy has posted a solid .313 average/.511 slugging percentage/.853 OPS since the All-Star break and has an outstanding .356 average/1.018 OPS at Wrigley Field this season.

I'm going with some value at first-base tonight as I'm going to roll with the Twins Joe Mauer (1B) in his match-up agianst the RHP Luis Severino of the New York Yankees. Severino comes into this game with a solid 3.52 ERA and 1.16 WHIP however, it's been a struggle as of late for the talented RHP as in his 9 starts since the All-Star break, he has posted a 6.95 ERA while allowing opponents to hit .318 against him. Mauer is not thehitter he once was, however, he still has a respectable .272 average with 6 HR's and 43 RBI's. Mauer had a huge 2 for 4 game last night with a HR and 4 RBI's and we do like the extra value we get from him hitting leadoff.

We couldn’t pay up for Trevor Story on DraftKings as we were able to on FanDuel, however, I’m happy rolling with Didi Gregorius (SS) of the New York Yankees in his match-up against the RHP Jake Odorizzi of the Minnesota Twins. Odorizzi comes into this game with a 4.57 ERA and 1.36 WHIP on the season and has struggled over his last two starts, allowing 8 ER’s on 7 hits (2 HR’s) & 7 BB’s. Odorizzi has posted a 5.51 ERA during night games on the season and didn’t fare well in his start agianst the Yankees earlier this season, has he lasted just 4.2 IP while giving up 5 ER’s on 5 hits. Gregorius comes into this game with a .269 average with 23 HR’s and 79 RBI’s and looks like he has shaken off the rust as he recently came back from injury as so far in the first two games of his series agianst the Twins, he is 3 for 7 with a 2B, 3B, HR and 5 RBI’s. Gregorius is hitting .435 against the Twins on the season and has a .844 OPS vs. RHP on the year.

Rounding out the team tonight, we’re looking a somewhat “punt” play with the Rockies Matt Holiday (OF) who although has a tough match-up agianst the LHP Patrick Corbin of the Diamondbacks, will be hitting at Coors Field tonight. Corbin comes into this game with 3.01 ERA and 1.01 WHIP, however, the Rockies were tough agianst him in his start at Coors earlier this season as the LHP last just 4.1 IP (5 Hits, 2 ER). Corbin is allowing the Rockies to post a .821 OPS agianst him in his career and it won’t help the fact that wind is supposed to be blowing out a bit tonight in Denver. Holiday has done some damage in his limited opportunities this season as he is hitting .375 with 2 HR’s and 3 RBI’s. Holiday has been outstanding vs. LHP, posting a .389 average/1.078 OPS and you have to like the fact that he recently just hit a HR off Clayton Kershaw.

Please check back later as I’ll make any necessary updates to the lineup due to “confirmed lineups” and/or weather.

Good Luck!
