8:00pm – Los Angeles Clippers at New Orleans Pelicans (Spread: NO -6.5; O/U: 237)

Key Injuries

Andre Drummond (Illness) – GTD

Will Barton (Groin) – Out

Jamal Murray (Leg) – GTD

Lineup

Point Guard

Monte Morris (DEN) - $3,600 – I’m going to need to monitor the status of Jamal Murray throughout the day, however, if he is unable to go, I think Morris is a great way to save some salary as Denver will be thin at the guard position with Isaiah Thomas & Will Barton already ruled out. Morris has some upside if he sees 25-30 minutes as he had 18.4 & 21.2 point performances agianst the Clippers & the Warriors this season and even if Murray can go, as I think the PG position is somewhat weak on this slate, I still might go with Morris and play him as my player I’m expected to be dropped as my low score.

De’Aaron Fox (SAC) - $8,000 – We never know what Sacramento is going to do with their lineups, however, when it comes to De’Aaron Fox, we can expect him generally to be on the court for 35-40 minutes as long as the game isn’t a blowout. Fox comes into this game averaging 20.3 ppg, 7.7 apg, 5.0 rpg, and 1.3 spg and although Denver has been solid defensively to start the season, they had no answers for Stephen Curry  in their last game and Fox should be able to have his way whether he is going up agianst Jamal Murray or Monte Morris. Fox has hit 40+ FanDuel points in two of his three games this season and I think he’ll have another big night on Tuesday.

Shooting Guard

JJ Redick (PHI) - $5,300 – Redick is no longer starting for the 76ers however, he is still seeing plenty of minutes and on the basis that I think the 76ers are going to be careful with Ben Simmons, I think Reddick is almost a most start if Simmons doesn’t go. Redick is coming off a monster game against Orlando after Simmons exited the game early as he poste 31 points, 4 rebounds, & 4 assists in 32 minutes against the Magic. Redick is generally scoring depended however, he is shooting 45.8% from beyond the arc and will be counted on heavily if Simmons can’t go.

Markelle Fultz (PHI) - $5,300 – I’m sticking with Philadelphia at the guard position as I think similar to Redick, Fultz will see a bump in minutes if Simmons is unable to go. Fultz has struggled with his shot this season as he is shooting just 34.0% from the field however, he seems to be gaining some confidence in his shot as he has put up 26 shots over his past two games. Fultz does a decent job at getting fantasy points in the other offensive categories as he is averaging 4.7 apg, 3.7 rpg, & 1.3 spg and as Detroit as really struggled against SG’s this season, I think Fultz will be able to hit 5x value in this one.

Small Forward

Stanley Johnson (DET) - $4,800 – Stanley Johnson missed the first game of the season however, you have to like the confidence that Detroit showed in the former Arizona standout as Johnson played a solid 30 minutes against the Bulls last Saturday, posting 10 points, 7 rebounds, & a block. Philadelphia hasn’t fared well against the SF position over their first three games and although we can’t expect the Johnson to light up the scoreboard, I think he can hit value if he sees another 30+ minutes.

Nikola Mirotic (NO) - $7,400 – Nikola Mirotic has been outstanding to start the 2018-19 season and I’m still surprised that he is listed at this price after he has scored 30+ points in each of his first two games and is averaging 47.7 ppg. Mirotic is a perfect complement to Anthony Davis as he does a great job stretching the floor when teams double down on Davis. We obviously can’t expect Mirotic to continue to shoot 61.0% from the field and 64.7% from beyond the arc, but as this should be another high scoring game, I think we can get at least 40+ points from Mirotic again.

Power Forward

Anthony Davis (NO) - $13,000 – Anthony Davis is once again showing that he is arguably the best player in the NBA as over his first two games of the season, Davis is averaging 28.5 ppg, 13.0 rpg, 7.0 apg, 2.5 bpg, & 2.5 spg. Davis is extremely expensive however, I think he is worth in this match-up agianst the Clippers as I just don’t see how Montrezl Harrell or Marcin Gortat will have any chance of slowing down Davis in this one. New Orleans is averaging a crazy 140.0 ppg so far and as the Clippers certainly haven’t looked strong on the defensive end early in the season, I expect Davis and the New Orleans offense to have another big game.

Tobias Harris (NO) - $7,900 – For the Clippers to have any chance on the road in this one, there are going to need Tobias Harris to have a huge game. Harris has been the go to option for the Clippers to start the season as he is averaging 22.7 ppg, 8.0 rpg, 2.0 apg, & 1.3 bpg in 37.3 minutes per game. Harris has been putting about 17 shots per game and as I think he’ll need to have a 45-50 FD point day for the Clippers to win this one, I think he is great value at $7,900.

Zaza Pachulia (DET) - $4,100 – Pachulia has been productive as the back up center for the Pistons this season, as he has put up an average of 24.8 FanDuel points and I’m going to roll with the veteran center, especially if Andre Drummond can’t give it a go due to his illness. Pachulia has struggled offensively as he is averaging just 5.5 ppg however, he has done a nice job in the other offensive categories as he has averaged 7.5 rpg, 2.5 apg, & 2.0 spg.

Please remember, this is just an initial lineup which is likely to change depending on the final injury status of some of the key members that we’re listed above The NBA is tough when it comes to DFS do to a lot of the information concerning injuries not being available until shortly before tip-off, however, we will provided an updated lineup about 15-30 minutes prior to the slate starting so please come back for the updates!
