DFS – Fantasy Baseball – DraftKings MLB World Series – Dodgers vs. Red Sox – 10/26/18
FLEX – Walker Buehler (LAD) - $14,100 – The Dodgers need a win and they’ll have their best pitcher on the mound tonight in Walker Buehler to get the job done. Buehler has the best stuff of any starter on the Dodgers and has been phenomenal in his rookie season as he has posted a 2.62 ERA & 0.96 WHIP while racking up 151 strikeouts over 137.1 IP. The Red Sox are a dangerous lineup however, Buehler will have the benefit of Boston never seeing him before which generally favors the pitcher. Buehler is holding his opponents to an .193 average on the season and as has already faced playoff pressure with his game 7 performance in the NLDS, I think Buehler is going to have a decent night.
FLEX – Manny Machado (LAD) - $10,000 – The Los Angeles Dodgers are pretty much in a must win situation and I think they’re going to be happy that they traded for Manny Machado tonight as I think he has the best match-up on either team tonight against Rick Porcello. Machado will be cashing big paycheck this offseason as is coming off another outstanding year in which he hit .297 with 37 HR’s & 107 RBI’s. Machado was solid against RHP on the season as he posted a .298 average/.897 OPS vs. RHP and has dominated Rick Porcello in his career as in 38 AB’s, he has posted a .342 average with 2 HR’s.
FLEX – Max Muncy (LAD) - $9,100 – The Dodgers need to shake up their offensive line up a bit after the first two games and with an RHP on the mound, we should see Max Muncy in the lineup tonight. Muncy had a breakout season with the Dodgers as although he hit just .263, he showed his tremendous power as he had 35 HR’s & 79 RBI’s on the year. Muncy posted an incredible 1.002 OPS vs. RHP and had 20 of his 35 HR’s at Dodgers Stadium this season. Muncy was actually pretty effective vs. LHP as he posted a .890 OPS, so I do have some hope that if the Red Sox bring in an LHP later in the game, Dave Roberts won’t pull Muncy from the game.
FLEX – Cody Bellinger (LAD) - $7,400 – The wind is blowing out to right field tonight and as Porcello allowing the Astros to hit the ball hard in his last start, I want to get another LHP of the Dodgers in my lineup with Cody Bellinger. Bellinger hit just .260 on the season however, we know he has solid power as he has 25 HR’s on the season to go along with 76 RBI’s. Bellinger had 19 of his 25 HR’s vs. RHP and posted an impressive .881 OPS vs. righties on the season. Bellinger is hitting just .128 so far in the playoffs however, he has had one of the bigger hits for the Dodgers in extra innings against the Brewers and I think he is going to come through for them tonight.
FLEX – Xander Bogaerts (BOS) - $6,800 – I’m going to get one Red Sox bat in my lineup tonight as although I do have Buehler on the mound, he has allowed a HR in each of his three post-season appearances so far. Bogaerts had a great season for the Red Sox as he finished the regular season with a .288 average with 23 HR’s & 103 RBI’s. Bogaerts should more power this season as he has a .883 OPS and actually was much better agianst RHP as he posted a .294 average/.553 slugging percentage/.901 OPS in 405 AB’s. Buehler is equally tough against LHP as he is RHP so I don’t mind using a RHP agianst him and I’m hoping he is the Red Sox that takes Buehler deep tonight if he gives up another HR.
UTIL – Eduardo Rodriguez (BOS) - $2,600 – I’m setting up my lineups for Rick Porcello to struggle and if he does, I can see Eduardo Rodriguez coming in for long relief tonight. Rodriguez had a nice season for the Red Sox as he has posted a 3.82 ERA & 1.26 WHIP and as I think the Red Sox have to go with Nathan Eovaldi in game 4, this leaves Rodriguez as more than available to pitch multiple innings tonight. The Dodgers have shown over the first two games that they’ve struggled with LHP so as I mentioned, if Porcello gets in trouble early (hopefully by the guys we have had listed above….), I’ll hope the Red Sox bring in E-Rod.
