DFS – Fantasy Football - NFL DraftKings Lineup, Picks & Advice – Week 8 – 10/28/18
Let's take a look at DraftKings “Featured” slate that features 10 games and starts at 1:00 pm (EST)!
QB – Andy Dalton (CIN) - $7,800 – Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals didn’t look great against Kansas City in their last game, however, I’m expecting a big bounce back game from the Bengals today in their match-up agianst the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Dalton has completed 63.6% of his passes this season for 15 TD & 8 INT while averaging 260.3 passing yds/g. Dalton has had much more success at home this season as he has posted a 97.2 QB rating and has 7 TD’s compared to just 1 INT in three games at Paul Brown Stadium. Dalton couldn’t ask for a better match-up today as the Buccaneers come into this game ranked dead last in the NFL in passing defense, as they have allowed 18 passing TD’s while allowing opposing teams to throw for an average of 327.5 passing yds/g.
RB – Kareem Hunt (KC) - $8,100 - As much as I like Mahomes, I like Kareem Hunt even better as the Broncos have rank 2nd to last in the NFL when it comes to rushing defense as they are their opponents to average 148.1 rushing yds/g. Hunt, who led the NFL in rushing last year, had a slow start to the season but has picked it up as of late as he has 8 total TD’s (5 Rushing; 3 Passing) over his past 5 games and is averaging 77.4 rushing yds/g & 32.3 receiving yds/g. Hunt had one of his best games of the season against the Broncos in Week 4 as he had 121 rushing yards and a TD on 19 carries while also grabbing 3 receptions for 54 yards.
RB – Jalen Richard (OAK) - $5,700 – I think Oakland has some of the best value on the slate this week as they have a decent matchup against the Indianapolis Colts who although held Buffalo to just 5 points last week, had allowed an average of 39 ppg in their previous three games against Houston, New England, and the New York Jets. Richard has been a consistent threat for the Raiders out of the backfield in the passing game as he has 31 receptions on the season for 253 yards and with Marshawn Lynch currently on IR, there is a solid opportunity that Richard could get more action in the Raiders rushing attack. Carr doesn’t have many weapons on the receiver front which makes him check down more often than not and as the Raiders still should be playing from behind, I think Richard has a big game here and hits value.
WR – A.J. Green (CIN) - $8,800 – As I’m going with Andy Dalton as my QB, I’m going to get both of his top two targets in my lineup and that starts with A.J. Green. Green comes into this game was 40 receptions on the season for 611 yards and 5 TD’s. Green has seen double-digit targets in each of the last three weeks and in that same period, has 20 receptions for 314 yards. We already mentioned that Tampa Bay has really struggled defending the pass this season as they’ve really been hurt with injuries and it’s been really bad for the Buccaneers on the road this season as in their three road games, they’ve allowed a total of 112 points. John Ross is also out for Cincinnati today which should only help A.J. Green see even more targets than he has been.
WR – Tyler Boyd (CIN) - $6,800 – Tyler Boyd has really started to produce in this 3rd year in the NFL as the former star out of Pittsburgh Comes into this game with 40 receptions on the season for 482 yards & 4 TD. Boyd had one of the worse games of his season agianst the Chiefs last week, however, similar to Andy Dalton, I’m expecting a bounce back week for Boyd. Cincinnati is a bit banged up on the offensive end as their missing their passing RB (Gio Bernard) and a WR (John Ross) and as we’ve already mentioned how bad the Buccaneers passing defense has been this season, especially on the road, I think the stack of Dalton/Green/Boyd will have huge dividends today.
WR – Geronimo Allison (GB) - $5,700 – The Rams/Packers game has the highest over/under of the game at 57 so I needed to get some action in this game. This game has a bit of a blowout risk, so I didn’t want to heavily invest in it, however, I think getting Geronimo Allison for a reasonable price could pay off big in a game in which the Packers are going to be throwing the ball around a lot. Allison is back from a hamstring injury and should be able to pick up where he left off as over the first 4 weeks of the season, Allison had 19 receptions for 289 yards & 4 TD. Allison was targeted 11 times in his last game and although the Rams have a solid pass defense, I see Rodgers throwing the ball 50+ times in this one and as the attention should be on Davante Adams, I can see Allison getting double-digit targets again.
TE – Trey Burton (CHI) - $6,400 – Trey Burton has been a great addition for the Chicago Bears this season and looks as of late, looks like he is becoming the main target for the Mitchell Trubisky. Burton comes into this game with 24 receptions for 325 yards and 4 TD’s. Burton and the Bears have a nice passing match-up against the New York Jets who rank 21st in passing defense allowing 266.0 passing yds/g and have allowed 71 points over their last two games. Burton has TD’s in three consecutive games and is coming off his best game of the season last week in which he had 9 receptions (11 targets) for 126 receiving yards and a TD.
FLEX – Jimmy Graham (GB) - $4,700 – As I mentioned with Geronimo Allison, we should see a lot of points in this game and Green Bay will most likely have to throw the ball a bunch to be able to keep up with Los Angeles. Graham isn’t as big as a threat as he once was when he was in New Orleans, however, he still is a very dangerous TE and comes into this game with 27 receptions for 349 yards and a TD. Graham has seen 20 targets over the past two weeks and has turned those targets into 11 receptions for 180 yards. The Rams haven’t been great agianst TE’s this season (remember when Jared Cook has 9 receptions for 180 yards in the opening week of the season….) and as I think Rodgers and Graham are starting to be on the same page, I think we could see a big game from Graham today.
DEF – Arizona Cardinals (ARZ) - $3,400 – This is going to be an ugly game as the Cardinals and 49ers square off in Arizona this afternoon. I needed to save a little money on my defense and I don’t mind taking my chances with the Cardinals as the over/under in this game has been set pretty low at just 41 points. The Cardinals did a decent job agianst the 49ers earlier this season in a 28-18 victory as they picked off C.J. Beathard twice and had 4 sacks in that game. Arizona has struggled against the run game this year, however, I think they bounce back a bit here and will be a solid low owned option this afternoon.
