NBA – Fantasy Basketball – Fanduel Lineup, Picks, & Advice – 10/31/18
We have a 7-game slate for Wednesday, October 31st and let’s take a look at the games, key injuries, and our initial FanDuel lineup.
This is just my initial lineup based on the information we have available in the morning. Injuries play a huge roll in our DFS lineups so please come back later! If it’s a real last-minute update in which I don’t have time to update the website, I’ll post it on my Twitter (@BrettCU05) so make sure you hit that “follow” button!

10:30pm – Dallas at LA Lakers (Spread: LAL -7.5; O/U 234)
Key Injuries/Inactive Players
Anthony Davis (Elbow) – GTD; Devin Booker (Hamstring) – Doubtful; Elfrid Payton (Ankle) – Out; Kris Dunn (Knee) – Out; Will Barton (Groin) – Out; Bobby Portis (Knee) – Out; Julius Randle (Foot) – Out; Andrew Wiggins (Quadriceps) – GTD; DeMarre Carroll (Ankle) – Out; Derrick Favors (Knee) – GTD; Isaiah Thomas (Hip) – Out; Jae Crowder (Ankle) – GTD; Isaiah Canaan (Ankle) – Out
There is still a lot of in the air at this point, especially as we wait on the status of Anthony Davis which early reports are saying that we should have an answer after the Pelicans morning shootaround. I’m staying away from the Pelicans a bit at this moment with the uncertainty but certainly will reevaluate once the injury information has been released. If Davis can’t go, the regular starts from both teams are still in play with the highest O/U on the slate, however, there is obviously some major blowout risk here.
I want to ensure that I have plenty of exposure to the DAL/LAL game tonight as this has the 2nd highest O/U on the slate and I’m actually leaning that it’s going to go over. With how ball Lonzo Ball has looked over the past two games, I think Rajon Rondo has some great value at $5,800 as Dallas has just been league average against PG’s this season. Both the Lakers and Mavericks have been awful agianst SG’s so I’m going with both Josh Hart (Caldwell-Pope only played 7 minutes in his last game) and Luka Doncic who is coming off a career best 31 point, 8 rebound, 4 assist performance against San Antonio. I’m currently paying up for Lebron James as if this is a high-scoring, close game, he is going to have a monster game.
I also have some solid exposure in the SA/PHO game as of right now (living on the east coast……it’s tough when I have 8 of 9 players with games starting at 10:30pm……haha). I like Bryn Forbes as a value play as he has hit 5x value in all but one game this season and faces a Phoenix team that ranked 25th against PG’s. My “punt/low scoring” play comes with Mikal Bridges as he has seen 20+ minutes in each of his last two games so he does have some potential. If Canaan & Booker can’t go, they’ll have to rely on Josh Jackson who has shown in the past that he can produce and just has to much upside at $3,700. We going to pay up for LaMarcus Aldridge for know as he has 60+ point potential, however, I might change this up later.
I’m going to go with Andre Drummond as although he is on the 2nd half of a back-to-back, the matchup agianst Brooklyn is too good to pass up as they rank just 24th against centers this season and Drummond put up a monster 24-point, 20 rebound game agianst them in the Pistons first game of the season.
As I mentioned, they are just initial thoughts as a lot is going to depend on Anthony Davis status and I wouldn’t be surprised if I try to get some exposure to the DEN/CHI game tonight.
Check back later for my updated lineup!
