I’m going to have to start off my lineup in this morning with putting in Derrick Rose (PG) after the former MVP put up a monster performance on Wednesday in which he dropped a 63.8 FanDuel point performance with a 50-point, 6 assist, 4 rebounds, 1 block, & 1 steal performance agianst the Jazz. Rose ended up in the perfect situation as Minnesota went into the game knowing Jeff Teague and Jimmy Butler wasn’t going to play and then Tyus Jones was a late scratch with a foot injury. Minnesota and Rose have the highest O/U on the slate today in their match-up agianst the Warriors that rank 14th vs. PG and with the prospects of both Teague and Jones not being able to go again, make Rose almost a must play.
Victor Oladipo (SG) is showing everyone that last year was not a fluke as the 5-year veteran out of Indiana comes into this game averaging 22.0 ppg, 4.4 apg, 5.9 rpg & 1.5 spg in 32.8 mpg. Oladipo is always an exciting DFS player to roster as he always has the upside for a huge night with his ability to produce in all of the offensive categories. Oladipo will up against a Bulls team that ranks 29th in team defense this season and we also love the fact that Oladipo is putting up more shots per game (18.4) than any other point of his career.
I’m going with some value at the SF position tonight with Mikal Bridges (SF) as the rookie out of Villanova continues to impress and earn playing time. Bridges comes into this game averaging just 7.0 ppg, 1.1 apg, 1.9 rpg, & 1.1 spg this season in 16.9 mpg however, has seen 20+minutes in his last three games and is coming off his best performance as the pro as he put up a stat line of 16 points, 3 assists, 2 steals, and a rebound against the Spurs last Wednesday. I’m going to make sure that Booker is out, however, if he is, I’m comfortable rolling with Bridges to save some money.
At the power forward position, we’re going to go back to Draymond Green (PF) who I just feel is still underpriced on DraftKings at just $6,900. Green comes into this game averaging 8.3 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 8.2 apg, & 2.1 spg in 31.4 mpg and is also coming off his best game of the season agianst the Pelicans in which he posted 16 points, 14 rebounds, 8 assists, and a block. Green has a solid matchup against a Timberwolves team that ranks just 26th against the PF position and as Green always has a solid change to get us the extra points for a triple-double, I like him tonight.
At the Center position tonight, we’re going to be paying up for Houston’s Clint Capela (C) who has a great matchup agianst the Brooklyn Nets who come into this game ranked just 25th against the Center position. Capela is having a solid season to date as he comes into this game averaging 14.7 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 1.7 apg & 1.8 bpg on 34.0 mpg. I’m actually hoping that Harden plays tonight as I think he Capela has more upside with Harden on the court as they work really well together off the pick and roll. Capela has registered at least 1 block in every game this season and as I just don’t see anyone on the Nets being able to slow Capela, I think he is in for a good night.
We’re going with Ricky Rubio (G) tonight as with Donovan Mitchell has already been listed as out which means Rubio and some of the other Jazz while have to make up for his high usage rate. Rubio comes into this game averaging 9.0 ppg, 7.1 apg, 2.7 rpg & 1.1 spg and although his offense is as inconsistent as anyone in the league, he certainly can go off for big nights as we saw recently against the Pelicans in which he posted a state line of 28 points, 12 assists, & 6 rebounds. Rubio saw more usage last season when Mitchell was out and as I think he’ll be looking for a shot a bit more tonight, I think he has decent value at this price.
How good has Pascal Siakam (PF) been for the Raptors as of last as the 2-year man out of New Mexico State continued his recent run of solid play with a 15 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assist, 3 steal performance agianst the 76ers this past Tuesday. Siakam has been seeing between 33-37 minutes of action over the last three games and although that number might go down a bit with both Kawhi Leonard & OG Anunoby, it’s hard not to imagine that Siakam hasn’t earned himself a bigger role in the Raptors rotations.
At the Utility position, we’re going with Tim Hardaway Jr. (Utility) of the New York Knicks in his matchup against the Dallas Mavericks. Hardaway Jr. is the main offensive weapon for the Knicks and comes into this game averaging 26.0 ppg, 3.3 apg, & 3.0 rpg in 33.4 mpg this season. Dallas ranks 29th against the SG position and we love the fact that Hardaway Jr. has been averaging 28.6 ppg over his last three games while getting up an average of about 20.0 shots per game. Hardaway Jr has about 30.0% usage rate of the Knicks and if his shot is falling tonight, could have a 50 DraftKings point night.
