It’s a busy Sunday with NBA & NFL and Sports Chat Place is getting geared up for the College Basketball season that starts on Tuesday.
I’m going to be posting lineups for NBA today however, as time is very limited with everything that is going on, I’m just posting the images today with a very short description of why I’m going with this team!

It’s going to be a tough slate for DraftKings tonight as our lineup is really going to depend if some of the questionable players in Leonard, Butler, and Rose play and we might not know before the 6:00pm start time.
I created this initial lineup on the assumption that I don’t believe Leonard or Butler play today.
Kyle Lowry has been outstanding this season and if Leonard is out, we should see his usage rate go up a bit and we can’t dislike his matchup agianst the Los Angeles Lakers who are on the 2nd half of a back-to-back. Lowry is averaging a double-double this season (17.7 ppg, 11.2 apg, 4.1 rpg) and the Lakers are ranked just 23rd vs. the PG position this season.
With Teague out and Rose questionable, Jones is basically a chalk play as he should be seeing a ton of minutes at the point (40 minutes vs. GSW on Friday). If Butler doesn’t play, then Jones is really going to have to help contribute on the offensive end and he price is still under $5,000, I’d be shocked to not see Jones in basically every lineup tonight.
I’m generally shy away from Andrew Wiggins but if Teague, Rose, and Butler are all out, someone is going to have to do the scoring for the Timberwolves tonight. Wiggins is pretty consistent when he plays a full game as he has averaged about 35.0 FanDuel points per game when he sees 30+ minutes and as there is upside to this match-up, I’ll take my chances with him tonight.
Pascal Siakam has exploded on the fantasy scene as he posted back to back 42+ FanDuel point performances last week. Siakam saw his minutes cut back a bit on Friday night as expected with Leonard playing and OG Anunoby back from injury, but if Leonard doesn’t go tonight, then I think Siakam sees another 35+ minutes and you have to love the matchup against the Lakers.
Dwight Howard looked decent in this first action of the season as he put down 20 points in just 23 minutes of action. Howard isn’t on a minutes restriction and basically only saw 23 minutes agianst the Thunder as the game was well out of hand after the 2nd quarter. Howard only grabbed a few rebounds in the first game, so I imagine that number will go up and as I like the matchup against the Knicks, I’m going with Howard today.
CJ McCollum looked like the CJ McCollum of old last night as he went 13 from 24 from the field for 30 points, 5 rebounds, & 4 assists. I think McCollum needed that performance and as he is still underpriced from his tough start to the season, I’m rolling with him tonight in what could be a high scoring game agianst Minnesota.
We need to keep an eye out on Otto Porter Jr. who is questionable with a toe injury as Oubre Jr. becomes almost a must play if he is out. Even if Porter Jr. can give it a go, Oubre Jr. continues to see a good number of minutes and has averaged over 25+ FanDuel points in his last 4 games.
Karl-Anthony Towns has had a slow start to the season, but Towns showed last week that when he needs to be the focal point of the offense, he can put up monster games as he had back-to-back 62+ FanDuel point performances last week. If Butler & Rose is out, Towns is almost a must play at the center position.
