NBA – Fantasy Basketball – Fanduel Lineup, Picks, & Advice – 11/4/18 – MAIN SLATE
It’s a busy Sunday with NBA & NFL and Sports Chat Place is getting geared up for the College Basketball season that starts on Tuesday.
I’m going to be posting lineups for NBA today however, as time is very limited with everything that is going on, I’m just posting the images today with a very short description of why I’m going with this team!
We have 4-game slate tonight on FanDuel that starts at 7:00pm!
7:00pm – Orlando at San Antonio (Spread: SAS -8; O/U 206)
8:00pm – Memphis at Phoenix (Spread: MEM -4; O/U 211)

9:30pm – Toronto at LA Lakers (Spread: TOR -3; O/U 237.5)
Key Injuries/Inactive Players
Kawhi Leonard (Ankle) – GTD; Jimmy Butler (Rest) – GTD; Jeff Teague (Knee) – Out; Derrick Rose (Ankle) – GTD; TJ Warren (Back) – GTD; Jonathan Issac (Ankle) – Out; Shelvin Mack (Thumb) – GTD; Jonathan Simmons (Wrist) - GTD
PG – Kyle Lowry (TOR) - $8,900
PG – Tyus Jones (MIN) - $4,800
SG – Devin Booker (PHX) - $7,900
SG – Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (LAL) - $3,500
SF – Andrew Wiggins (MIN) - $6,600
SF – Trevor Ariza (PHX) - $5,000
PF – LaMarcus Aldridge (SA) - $8,100
PF – Pascal Siakam (TOR) - $5,800
C – Karl-Anthony Towns (MIN) - $9,400
The 7:00pm slate is going to depend heavily on the injury status of Leonard, Butler, & Rose, however, as of right now, I’m counting on at least Leonard & Butler being out. Obviously, if that changes, we’ll need to make some adjustments later.
Kyle Lowry has been outstanding this season and if Leonard is out, we should see his usage rate go up a bit and we can’t dislike his matchup agianst the Los Angeles Lakers who are on the 2nd half of a back-to-back. Lowry is averaging a double-double this season (17.7 ppg, 11.2 apg, 4.1 rpg) and the Lakers are ranked just 23rd vs. the PG position this season.
With Teague out and Rose questionable, Jones is basically a chalk play as he should be seeing a ton of minutes at the point (40 minutes vs. GSW on Friday). If Butler doesn’t play, then Jones is really going to have to help contribute on the offensive end and he price is still under $5,000, I’d be shocked to not see Jones in basically every lineup tonight.
Devin Booker is back from his injury and although he struggled the field, he still played 36 minutes and posted a solid line of 18 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 block and a steal. Booker is obviously the main scoring threat for the Suns and if we don’t have to worry about Leonard playing defense on him, I think he has great value and upside at a price tag under $8,000.
Kentavious Cladwell-Pope hasn’t not played well this season and has lost playing time because of it, however, I don’t mind making him my “low score drop” option tonight. Josh Hart hasn’t taken advantage of Caldwell-Pope’s struggle and as I think he gets about 20 minutes tonight, he does have upside if his shot starts to fall to get us some points.
I’m generally shy away from Andrew Wiggins but if Teague, Rose, and Butler are all out, someone is going to have to do the scoring for the Timberwolves tonight. Wiggins is pretty consistent when he plays a full game as he has averaged about 35.0 FanDuel points per game when he sees 30+ minutes and as there is upside to this match-up, I’ll take my chances with him tonight.
Needed some value at my other SF spot tonight and decided to go with Trevor Ariza who I feel is a much more dangerous weapon with Booker on the court. Ariza is averaging 32.8 mpg and has averaged almost 30.0 Fanduel points over his last two games. Ariza should be able to get plenty off looks from beyond the arc and if shot is falling, he could easily get us 30+ points with his ability to rack up steals.
LaMarcus Aldridge is having another monster season for the Spurs as he is averaging 20.8 ppg, 9.5 rpg, & 3.5 apg and we have to like his matchup agianst the Orlando Magic tonight who rank just 22nd vs. the PF position. Aldridge did play 40 minutes last night which is a slight concern, however, Aldridge still has huge upside for a what is a reasonable $8,100 price tag.
Pascal Siakam has exploded on the fantasy scene as he posted back to back 42+ FanDuel point performances last week. Siakam saw his minutes cut back a bit on Friday night as expected with Leonard playing and OG Anunoby back from injury, but if Leonard doesn’t go tonight, then I think Siakam sees another 35+ minutes and you have to love the matchup against the Lakers.
Karl-Anthony Towns has had a slow start to the season, but Towns showed last week that when he needs to be the focal point of the offense, he can put up monster games as he had back-to-back 62+ FanDuel point performances last week. If Butler & Rose is out, Towns is almost a must play at the center position.
