NBA – Fantasy Basketball – DraftKings Lineup, Picks, & Advice – 11/6/18
Update (6:19 PM) - I made some adjustments to the lineup as I decided to go wtih some more value with the Hawks tonight and get Kevin Huerter in the lineup as he has too much value at just $3,300 when he is starting tonight. This helped me get Ayton in the lineup who has a great matchup against the Nets. Image is updated below! Good Luck!
We have a 4-game slate for Tuesday, November 6th and let’s take a look at the games, key injuries, and our initial DraftKings lineup.
This is just my initial lineup based on information we have available in the morning. Injuries play a huge role in our DFS lineup so please check back later! If I have to make a real last-minute update due a late injury or a starting lineup change in which I don’t have the time to update the website, I’ll post it on my Twitter (@BrettCU05) so make sure you hit that “follow” button!

Let’s kick off our initial lineup and go right out to what should be one of the better plays of the night in Kemba Walker (PG). Walker has slowed down a bit over his last two games after a torrid start to this season, however, I’m not shying away from Walker who has a 32.9% usage rate and is in the highest O/U of the night. Walker comes into this game averaging 28.0 ppg, 5.8 apg, & 4.3 RPG and faces a Hawks team that ranks just 26th in defensive efficiency agianst PG.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is just a bit t0o expensive tonight for my taste, however, as I still wanted to get some Bucks in my lineup, I’m happy to go with Khris Middleton (SG). Milwaukee has the 2nd highest implied scoring total on the night (114.5) and is going agianst a Portland team that ranks just 24th vs. SG. Middle is averaging 30+ minutes per game and although he has struggled a bit with his shot over his last three games, still comes into this game with an impressive stat line of 19.2 ppg, 3.9 apg, 5.1 rpg & 1.4 spg.
Nicolas Batum (SF) will be my 2nd Hornets players in my line up as Charlotte has by far the highest implied scoring total tonight at 120.8 and I think Batum is still just a bit too underpriced with his upside to go off for 40+ on any given night. Batum is player that can get it done in every fantasy category and comes into this game averaging 10.5 ppg, 4.1 apg, 6.5 rpg, & 1.2 spg. The Hawks rank 28th vs. the SF position and as Batum is getting 33.3 minutes/game, I think he can get us 35 FanDuel points tonight.
For my PF & C spots, I’m loading up on the Washington Wizards front-court in Markieff Morris (PF) and Dwight Howard (C) in their great matchup agianst the Dallas Mavericks.
Markieff Morris is coming off his best overall performance of the season as in 21 minutes against the Knicks, Morris put up 16 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks and a steal. Morris is averaging 12.0 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 2.3 apg & 1.1 bpg on the season and is up against a Dallas Mavericks team that ranks just 25th in defensive efficiency against the PF position.
Dallas might have DeAndre Jordon at the Center position, but that hasn’t slowed down opposing Centers putting up big fantasy days agianst the Mavericks in their last two games Mitchell Robinson (13 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, 3 steals) and JaVale McGee (16 points, 15 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, 5 blocks) have put up monster performances. Howard has played in only two games this season due to a back injury, however, he is averaging 15.0 ppg & 6.5 rpg and it’s encouraging to see him go 31 minutes agianst the Knicks last Sunday while recording a double-double.
Charlotte has done a decent job defending the point-guard position however, I’m still rolling with Trae Young (G) as the dynamic rookie out of Oklahoma has looked outstanding as of late and is coming off one of his best games in his young career as he posted 24 points, 15 assists, & 6 rebounds in the Hawks victory over the Heat on Saturday. On the season, Young is averaging 19.1 ppg, 7.9 apg, & 3.2 rpg and as Taurean Prince is doubtful tonight, I think Young will be putting up 20+ shots and will hit value and if the shots are falling, could have another 50+ DraftKings point night.
At the F position, we’re going to go with Ersan Ilyasova (PF) of the Milwaukee Bucks. In a game that is projected to be close, I don’t mind going with Ilyasova who comes into this game averaging 9.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.4 apg & 0.8 spg in 23.1 mpg. Ilyasova has no issues putting up shots when he is open and you have to like the fact that he is shooting almost 40% from beyond the arc this season. Portland ranks 21st vs. the PF position and as Ilyasova is averaging about 26 FanDuel points over his last 5 games, I think he is a pretty safe pick tonight.
As I already have 3 players in the ATL/CHA and want this game to stay somewhat close, I’m going with DeAndre’ Bembry (Utility). Bembry has the been the main weapon for the Hawks 2nd unit but will probably will take on a bigger role tonight if Taurean Prince doubtful. Bembry is a jack of all trades and comes into this game averaging 8.6 ppg, 2.7 apg, 5.2 rpg, & 1.6 spg and has flashed some tremendous upside this season, especially when he put 45.5 DraftKings points in a 11 point, 16 rebound, 5 assist effort agianst the Mavericks earlier this year. If the Hawks are going to keep this one close, which we want as we have Walker and Batum, Bembry is going to need to have a big game.
