NBA – Fantasy Basketball – DraftKings Lineup, Picks, & Advice – 11/7/18
Update (5:52 PM) - I had to shift some things around as we will need to get away from some of our value plays that we had on the Hawks & Knicks as both Hardaway Jr. & Prince is playing. I'm going with a pretty balanced lineup tonight as although I couldn't afford A. Davis, we were able to fit in both Winslow & Richardson from the Heat who could be heavily depended on as Wade is out and Dragic is currently questionable. We got Rondo in their at Utility as the matchup is good against Min and he has outplayed Ball as of late. We also got Siakam who is seeing major minutes as of late and has even more upside of Leonard can't go tonight. Image is updated below! Good Luck!
We have a 10-game slate for Wednesday, November 7th and let’s take a look at the games, key injuries, and our initial DraftKings lineup.
This is just my initial lineup based on information we have available in the morning. Injuries play a huge role in our DFS lineup so please check back later! If I have to make a real last-minute update due a late injury or a starting lineup change in which I don’t have the time to update the website, I’ll post it on my Twitter (@BrettCU05) so make sure you hit that “follow” button!

PG – Derrick Rose (MIN) - $5,600
SG – Dennis Schroder (OKC) - $6,900
SF – Cedi Osman (CLE) - $5,200
PF – Jerami Grant (OKC) - $5,100
C – Karl-Anthony Towns (MIN) - $8,800
G – Kevin Huerter (ATL) - $3,400
F – Anthony Davis (NO) - $11,500

I’m kicking off our lineup with Derrick Rose (PG) as we already know that Jeff Teague is going to miss this game and we have to love the matchup agianst the Los Angeles Lakers as the game currently posts a 236 O/U. Rose has had an outstanding season as he currently is averaging 17.4 ppg, 4.6 apg, & 3.5 rpg and has shown his upside with tow monster performances this season of 47.25 DK points & 67.0 FDK points. Rose played 34 minutes against the Clippers on Monday and even if Jimmy Butler plays, had an extremely high usage rate which makes him in my opinion a safe play with a bunch of upside at this price.
Dennis Schroder (SG) is going to be a very popular play tonight as although his price has gone up with Russell Westbrook out, he is still a very affordable $6,400 in a great matchup agianst the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday. Schroder comes into this game averaging 15.4 ppg, 5.6 apg, 3.9 rpg, & 1.0 spg and faces a Cavaliers team that ranks just 27th in defensive efficiency agianst PG’s. Schroder has been shooting the ball much better as of late as he has hit 49.2% of his FG’s over his last 5 games and as his usage rate will go up with Westbrook not available, he had 40-50 DK point upside tonight.
Cedi Osman (SF) is not the flashiest pick on the slate however, I think you have to him tonight as he should once again see a bunch of minutes, especially as Sam Decker is now going to be out for a bit due to injury and for the fact that his price has dipped below the $6,000 range. Osman has struggled with his shot this season as he is shooting just 37.4% from the field however, he still respectable numbers as he comes into this game averaging 12.5 ppg, 2.8 apg and 5.4 rpg. Osman saw 43 minutes of action agianst Orlando on Monday while putting up 17 shots and as he should be the main option for Cleveland tonight, I think he just has too much upside to pass up on.
Jerami Grant (PF) has become a fixture in the Oklahoma City rotation and I’m shocked that his price is still this low concerning he is averaging about 30.0 mpg and has put up double-digit scoring efforts in each of his last 6 games. On the season, Grant is averaging 11.0 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 1.6 apg & 1.3 bpg and has averaged 35 FanDuel points over his last two games. Grant has put up double-digit shot attempts in each of his last two games which is encouraging and between the fact that he can pick up blocks & steals and should see a usage bump with Westbrook out, I like Grant at this price tonight.
Karl-Anthony Towns (C) has really started to heat up as of late after a slow start to his season and comes into this great matchup agianst the Lakers, averaging 18.8 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 2.3 apg, 2.1 bpg, & 1.0 spg. Towns is coming off a monster performance agianst the Clippers (20 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 blocks, 3 steals) and is shooting the ball much better as of late as he is shooting 48.6% from the field and 42.9% from beyond the arc in his last 5 games. Towns put up his best fantasy performance of the season agianst the Lakers earlier this year (64.5 DraftKings Points) and as this is expected to be another high scoring game, I’m a big fan of Towns tonight.
Atlanta seems to really like Kevin Huerter (SG) and I don’t mind jumping on this bandwagon if Taurean Prince is once again out due to an ankle injury. Huerter drew the start last night for the Hawks and put together a solid overall performance as he had 7 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and a block. Huerter has seen about 30 minutes of action in each of his last two games and although he hasn’t taken many shots, he is shooting a solid 45.5% from the field and 42.3% from beyond the arc. It’s a bit of a risk to be playing Huerter as I’m already using my “low scoring option” on Shamet, however, if Huerter gets the start I think he can put up 25-30 DraftKings points like he did last night against the Knicks.
New Orleans is projected to score 119.8 points tonight and as the Bulls have not fared well against opposing big men, I’m paying up for Anthony Davis (PF) tonight. Davis has been battling an elbow injury and certainly wasn’t worth the high price tag on Monday as he finished with just 31.0 DraftKings points, however, as he was on the court for 37 minutes, I think it was just more of a bad game than anything to do with an injury. Davis is having a monster season as he is averaging 23.3 ppg, 11.6 rpg, 4.3 apg, 3.1 bpg, & 1.7 spg and as I just don’t see anyone in the Bulls frontcourt being able to slow down Davis, I’m going to spend up for him tonight.
The New York Knicks point-guard situation is always a mystery however, if Tim Hardaway Jr. is out again, I don’t mind taking a chance on Emmanuel Mudiay (Utility). The Knicks have tried both Trey Burke & Frank Ntilikina out at PG this season without much success and I think at least in the short term, Mudiay will get starter like minutes and a chance to prove why he was a top-10 draft pick just 3 years ago. Mudiay put up an impressive 16 shots yesterday (largely due to the fact that Hardaway Jr. was out) and as the matchup should favor Mudiay tonight as the Hawks rank just 25th in the NBA vs. the PG position, I don’t mind taking a roll of the dice with Mudiay if Hardaway Jr. doesn’t play again.
