NBA – Fantasy Basketball – DraftKings Lineup, Picks, & Advice – 11/8/18
Update (7:23 PM) - Keeping with the orginal lineup for tonight as I think it's a pretty balanced lineup! Good Luck!
We have a 4-game slate for Thursday, November 8th and let’s take a look at the games, key injuries, and our initial DraftKings lineup.
This is just my initial lineup based on information we have available in the morning. Injuries play a huge role in our DFS lineup so please check back later! If I have to make a real last-minute update due a late injury or a starting lineup change in which I don’t have the time to update the website, I’ll post it on my Twitter (@BrettCU05) so make sure you hit that “follow” button!

If the Milwaukee Bucks are going to hang with the Warriors tonight, there are going to need big games from their supporting cast and that starts with Eric Bledsoe (PG). Bledsoe has been inconsistent this season, however, we all know the talent he brings to the table and he overall stats aren’t bad as he comes into this game averaging 12.7 ppg, 6.3 apg, & 4.2 rpg. The Warriors rank just 17th in DRPM this season and Bledsoe was very solid agianst the Warriors last season and in their two matchups against Golden State, Bledsoe averaged 20.5 ppg, 4.5 apg, 3.0 rpg, & 4.0 spg.
At the shooting guard/guard position, most of the public will be on Dennis Schroder with Russell Westbrook out, however, I’m going to go in a different direction and go with both SG’s in the MIL/GSW game in Kris Middleton (SG) & Klay Thompson (G). Middleton is having another outstanding season as he comes into this game averaging 19.5 ppg, 4.1 apg, 5.4 rpg, & 1.3 spg. Middleton has struggled a bit with his shot as of late, however, is still shooting 44.3% from the field and 48.1% from beyond the arc. Middleton has a solid usage rate of 22.5% and we should see him putting up plenty of three-pointers tonight. As for Thompson, Milwaukee plays at an extremely fast pace and has really struggled against the SG position as they rank 17th in DEFF and 18th in DRPM. Thompson has generally seen a decent usage bump when Draymond Green is out of the lineup and between the fact that Thompson is shooting 52.5% of his last five games and the Bucks just allowed CJ McCollum just went off for 40 points agianst the Bucks, I like Thompson tonight.
I’m going to be paying up for Kevin Durant (SF). Durant might not have as high as a ceiling as Antetokounmpo, however, this is still a guy that is averaging about 49 DraftKings points/game and could be in for a big night tonight. Durant is averaging 27.7 ppg, 5.9 apg, 7.5 rpg and is shooting a crazy 56.5% from the field this season. With Green out, the Warriors will need Durant to produce more than he already does and I think he is almost a must-play on this slate tonight.
In my frontcourt tonight, I’m going with the two big men from the Clippers in Montrezl Harrell (PF) & Boban Marjanovic (C). Harrell has been outstanding for the Clippers this season as he comes in averaging 12.1 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 1.3 apg & 1.7 bpg on the season. With Doc Rivers finally realizing that Gortat really doesn’t deserve any time on the court, Harrell has seen an uptick in minutes as he has averaged 27.5 mins in his last two games. Portland ranks just 17th in DEFF agianst PF on the season and I think Harrell will continue his solid play tonight. Marjanovic is finally getting some playing time which is great news for DFS players as Boban is one of the most productive players out there when is on the court. Marjanovic’s playing time should be safe tonight as Portland will counter with Jusuf Nurkic who isn’t much of a threat from the outside and as Marjanovic has an outstanding 21.4% usage rate, I’m getting Boban in my lineup tonight.
I needed some value at my forward position tonight and decided to go with Trevor Ariza (F) of the Phoenix Suns. Ariza is putting up decent numbers for the Suns this season as in 33.2 mpg, the veteran small forward is averaging 10.5 ppg, 3.5 apg, & 5.6 rpg. Ariza will be up agianst the Boston Celtics, who although are a tough matchup, rank just 15th in DEFF agianst SF on the season. Ariza should be seeing plenty of shots tonight as the Celtics will certainly be focused on Devin Booker and if the Suns have any chance in making this one competitive, they’ll need Ariza to have a big game.
At the Utility spot, I’m going with Oklahoma’s Stephen Adams (Utility) who although is in a tough matchup agianst Houston’s Clint Capela, has too much value at $5,800 price tag to pass up. Adams is having a monster season for the Thunder as the big man from New Zealand is currently averaging a double-double with 13.4 ppg, 10.6 rpg, 1.3 apg, 1.3 bpg, & 1.6 spg. Houston ranks just 28th in DEFF vs. Centers on the season and as I think Adams will get us some extra points with a double-double tonight, he is a solid play tonight.
