DFS – Fantasy Football - NFL FanDuel Lineup, Picks & Advice – Week 10 – 11/11/18
Hey everyone! I have a bunch of College Football & College Basketball articles to write today so this is going to be a shorter article than normal this week for DFS NFL!
At QB, I’m going with Drew Brees (NO) as the record-breaking QB has one of the best matchups on the slate against a Cincinnati Bengals team that rank dead last in passing yards allowed (319.4 yds/g) while ranking T-24th in passing TD’s allowed (18). Brees is having an outstanding season as he has completed 76.3% of his passes for 18 TD & 1 INT while averaging 292.0 passing yds/g.
To pair with Brees, I’m going with two of his wide receivers in Michael Thomas (NO) & Tre’Quan Smith (NO). Thomas is coming off a monster week in which he had 12 receptions (15 targets) for 211 receiving yards and a TD and is having one of the best seasons of any WR’s in the league as on the year he has 70 receptions for 880 yards & 5 TD. We all know that the Saints are hurting for WR’s with Meredith & Ginn on IR and although they tried to bring in Dez Bryant, his season was over before it even started as he tore his Achilles tendon at practice this past Friday. With all the injuries, Tre’Quan Smith will need to step up for the Saints. On the season, the rookie out of UFC has 12 catches for 214 yards & 3 TD’s and has some of the best break away speed on the Saints. Smith has been targeted at least 3 times in each of the last 4 weeks and I think he can have a good day this afternoon.
I’m going to go with some value in the backfield today in Duke Johnson Jr. (CLE) & Mike Davis (SEA).
Johnson Jr. has had a disappointing season for the Browns however, had a big week last week agianst the Chiefs as he caught 9 balls out of the backfield for 78 yards & 2 TD’s. I don’t think there was any coincidence that Johnson Jr’s involvement increased with Gregg Williams at the helm and as I see Johnson Jr being utilized in the same fashion today as the Browns probably will be playing from behind against the Falcons, I think he has another good day.
Davis is a bit of a riskier pick as we don’t know the status of Chris Carson as of yet, however, as Carson looks more like he is doubtful after not practicing all week, I’m willing to roll the dice on Davis. Davis is having a productive season with Seahawks as he has 288 rushing yards & 3 TD’s on just 67 carries to go along with 17 catches for 88 yards. Seattle had a lot of success rushing the ball agianst the Rams earlier this season as Carson & Davis combined for 190 yards and a TD on just 32 carries in which Davis had 12 carries for 68 yards and a TD. Even if Carson plays, I think he’ll be limited, and that Davis has some of the best value on the slate today.
Going back to the NO/CIN matchup, I’m going with Tyler Boyd (CIN) of the Cincinnati Bengals as he will be taking over as the top WR for Cincinnati with A.J. Green sidelined for a few weeks. Boyd has been a top target for Dalton all season as he comes into this game with 49 receptions for 620 yards & 5 TD’s and as the Bengals will need to score some points to keep up with the Saints, I don’t mind spending up for Boyd today.
No team is currently as banged up on the offensive end as the Washington Redskins are, however, that opens the door to get some great value with Maurice Harris (WSH). Harris has just 21 receptions for 226 yards on the season, however, is coming off his best game of the season as he has 10 receptions for 124 yards last week against the Falcons. The match-up couldn’t get much better for Harris today as he faces a Buccaneers team that ranks 30th in passing defense allowing 307.1 passing yds/g & T-31st with 22 passing TD’s allowed.
I generally like to get at least two Kansas City Chiefs in my lineup but I’m going to have to settle for just one today, however, it’s not a bad thing when the one player is Travis Kelce (KC). Kelce is having another big season as he comes in with 51 receptions for 741 yards & 6 TD’s and has picked up 3 TD’s over the last two weeks. Arizona will probably use Patrick Peterson on Tyreek Hill which should open up so good opportunities in the top rated Chiefs passing attack for Kelce today.
I’m going with the New England Patriots with me defense today as I think they are decent option that will be low owned agianst the Tennessee Titans this afternoon. The Pats rank 4th in the league in INT & 3rd in defensive TD’s and face a Titans offense that ranks just 30th total offense at 288.2 yds/g.
