PG – Quinn Cook (GS) - $5,400

SG – Dennis Schroder (OKC) - $7,200
SG – Evan Fournier (ORL) - $7,200
SF – TJ Warren (PHO) - $5,800
SF – Paul George (OKC) - $10,300

C – Karl-Anthony Towns (MIN) - $10,300
With both Stephen Curry & Shaun Livingston already ruled out for the Golden State Warriors, I’m going right back with Quinn Cook (PG) tonight at PG as his upside with a full plate of minutes is well worth his current price of just $5,400. Cook saw 30 minutes in a blow-out win agianst the Nets this past Saturday and more than hit value with a 27-point (11-16 FG) performance that included 3 rebounds, 5 assists, and a block. The Clippers rank just 24th in DEFF vs. opposing PG’s on the season and as this highest the highest O/U on the slate, I’m ensuring Cook is in my lineup tonight.
It’s going to be hard to fade Derrick Rose when I reevaluate my lineup later, however, as of right now, I’m going to save a little bit of salary and go with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (PG) of the Clippers. Gilgeous-Alexander has taken over the starting PG duties for the Clippers and we love the upside he has, especially as he has seen an average of 37 mpg over his last two games. Gilgeous-Alexander comes into this game averaging just 9.6 ppg, 3.3 apg, & 3.2 rpg on the season however, is coming off his best performance of the season agianst the Bucks on Saturday as he put up 39.2 FanDuel points on a stat line of 16 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks, and a steal. If Wiggins is confirmed out prior to tip-off tonight, I’ll probably adjust for Rose, but as of now, I don’t mind going with Gilgeous-Alexander.
Oklahoma City is going to be a solid game to target tonight and it starts with Dennis Schroder (SG) who continues to see a bunch of action with Russell Westbrook being sidelined with an injury. Schroder is having an outstanding first season with the Thunder as he comes into this game averaging 16.7 ppg, 4.8 apg, 4.5 rpg, and 1.1 spg. Schroder has seen his price raise with the increased usage, however, has been pretty consistent this season as he is averaging 30.1 FanDuel points per game. Schroder has a great match-up against Phoenix tonight that ranks 30th in DEFF vs. opposing PG’s and I think he is in for a big night.
With the possibility of Aaron Gordon missing another game due to an ankle injury, I’m going go with Evan Fournier (SG) of the Orlando Magic. Fournier was a bit of a disappointment for us yesterday as although he had a solid game, he only got 19 minutes of playing time as the Magic blew the Knicks out of water and had this game won by halftime. On the season, Fournier is averaging 16.2 ppg, 4.4 apg, 2.7 rpg & 1.4 spg and is putting up a career high, 15.2 shots per game. Fournier has a usage rate of 25.1% and if this game can stay close, I expect him to put up a solid stat line in 35-40 minutes of action.
It was only a week ago when TJ Warren (SF) was a big question mark as he was dealing with back issues and wasn’t producing, however, Warren has bounced back strong as over this last two games he has combined for 54 points & 12 rebounds while averaging 38.5 mpg. Warren is a pure shooter that can really put up points in a hurry and is on a Phoenix team that desperately needs his scoring if they want to compete. Warren has put up about 17 shots per game over his last two contests and as I expect him to continue to be a focal point of the offense tonight, I’ll roll with him as I think he has solid value at a price under $6,000.
I’m staying the PHO/OKC match-up and paying up for Paul George (SF) who is Oklahoma City’s “go-to” guy while Westbrook is out. George has struggled a bit with his shot this season as he is only shooting 38.7% from the field & 32.7% from beyond the arc, however, as I expect those numbers to improve, I think he a pretty high ceiling while Westerbook is out. Even with his shooting struggles, George has put up back-to-back solid games of at least 20 points, 10 rebounds, & 6 assists, and also has combined for 8 steals. George currently has a usage rate of 27.0% and as Phoenix ranks just 26th in DEFF vs. opposing SF’s, I think George easily puts up 50+ FanDuel points tonight.
Taj Gibson (PF) is certainly somewhat you want to look at tonight as not only does he have a great matchup against a Nets team that struggles with opposing frontcourts, we should expect to see Gibson see a bunch of minutes as Covington & Saric won’t be available until later in the week. Gibson is having another solid season for the Timberwolves as he comes into this game averaging 11.0 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.5 apg & 1.2 spg. Gibson has put up an average of 33.6 FanDuel points over his last three games and has a good opportunity to repeat his recent success as the Nets rank 27th in terms of DEFF vs. the PF position.
If Aaron Gordon is not able to go tonight, then Jarell Martin (PF) make a great “punt/low scoring” play tonight in his matchup agianst the Wizards. Martin showed his ability last year in Memphis to put up some solid numbers if given the opportunity and might earn another start tonight if Gordon is unable to go. Martin had a productive 27.7 FanDuel points last night in 27 minutes, posting a good all-around stat line of 7 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, & 2 steals.
Karl-Anthony Towns (C) is probably pretty happy now that the Timberwolves can finally put the Jimmy Butler saga to rest and I expect Towns to come out in from of the home crowd tonight and absolutely dominate in his great match-up against the Brooklyn Nets. Towns comes into this game averaging 19.9 ppg, 10.8 rpg, 2.1 apg, & 2.1 bpg and is coming off of one of his best games of the season agianst the Kings last Friday as in 40 minutes of action, he put up 39 points (15-27 FG), 19 rebounds, 1 assist, and a block. Brooklyn ranks just 20th in DEFF & 21st in DRPM vs. Centers this season and I see a 60+ FanDuel point outing by Towns tonight.
