NBA – Fantasy Basketball – DraftKings Lineup, Picks, & Advice – 11/16/18
Updated (6:17 PM) - I'm not changing too much on the lineup however, I wanted to get Whiteside in my lineup with Davis & Antetkounmpo and was able to do so with all the value that is out there tonight. I've updated the image below. Good Luck.
We have an 8-game slate for Friday, November 16th and let’s take a look at our initial DraftKings lineup.
This is just my initial lineup based on information we have available in the morning. Injuries play a huge role in our DFS lineup so please check back later! If I have to make a real last-minute update due a late injury or a starting lineup change in which I don’t have the time to update the website, I’ll post it on my Twitter (@BrettCU05) so make sure you hit that “follow” button!
I’m keeping it short and simple this afternoon as we have ton of College Basketball going on today!
For tonight’s 8-game slate, I’m looking at a ton of value to pay up for Giannis Antetokounmpo (SF) & Anthony Davis (PF)!
I’m starting off with the Bucks tonight as they are going to be short-handed and have the highest implied total on the slate, currently set at 119 points in their great match-up against the Chicago Bulls. As I’ve already mentioned, I’m paying up for Giannis Antetokounmpo who comes into this game averaging 25.8 ppg, 12.7 rpg, 5.6 apg, 1.4 bpg, & 1.4 spg. The match-up couldn’t get much better for Antetokounmpo as the Bulls comes into this game ranked 28th in DEFF & 29th in DPRM. I’m also going to get some great value with Pat Connaughton (SG). Connaughton should see a bigger role with both DiVincenzo & Henson out and has seen his role steadily increase over the Bucks past 4 games. Connaughton is coming off his best game of the season agianst Memphis last Wednesday as he had 16 points & 6 rebounds while compiling a solid 34.2 FanDuel points.
I’m going with Shelvin Mack (PG) who has carved out a nice role for himself with the Grizzles this season. Mack comes into this game averaging 11.5 ppg, 3.5 apg, 2.5 rpg & 1.2 spg in 26.3 mpg. Mack is averaging over 30 minutes per game over his last three games and we love the upside of his matchup agianst the Kings who rank 28th in DPRM vs opposing PG’s on the season.
As I already mentioned above, we’re paying up for Anthony Davis as the pelicans have an implied total of 118.5 points in a great matchup agianst the Kings. Davis is having another incredible season as he comes into this game averaging 25.0 ppg, 12.7 rpg, 4.6 apg, 3.1 bpg & 1.5 spg. Davis has a usage rate of 25.3% and as there is no one on the Knicks that should be able to contain Davis, I think Davis can go off for 70+ points if the Knicks can keep this one close.
We’re going with Dwight Howard (C) as he has the great matchup agianst the Brooklyn Nets tonight. Howard hasn’t put up monster numbers in his first year with the Wizards, however, he is averaging a respectable 12.6 ppg & 9.0 rpg in 27.9 mpg. Brooklyn ranks just 21st in both DEFF & DRPM and as I think the Wizards will exploit this matchup tonight, I think Howard is going to have his best DFS game so the season.
E’Twaun Moore (G) has been on absolute fire as of late and there is no reason to think he can’t continue his recent hot streak tonight. As we’ve mentioned earlier this season, Moore is in the perfect spot with the Pelicans as he is generally the guy left open as teams focus on slowing down Davis, Holiday, and Mirotic. Moore comes into this game averaging 16.0 ppg, 2.3 apg, and 2.1 rpg on the season however, he is coming off back to back 30+ point nights. Moore has put up 41 shots over his last two games and as he is shooting an incredible 56.3% from the field and 49.0% from beyond the arc, I think we need have to get him in our lineups while the price is still low on Moore.
The Knicks are a frustrating team to roster players from as you just never know how many minutes anyone is going to get, however, it seems like they really believe in Kevin Knox (PF) as over his last three games, he is averaging over 25 mpg and has taken double-digit shots in each of those contests. Knox doesn’t contribute to much in area outside of scoring, however, in which should be a high scoring game agianst the Pelicans, I think we can expect 20-points out of the rookie if he is getting another start tonight.
At the Utility spot tonight, I’m going with DeMarre Carroll (Utility) as I think he has great value tonight in his match-up agianst the Wizards. Carroll is back from injury at the perfect time for the Nets with LeVert going down, and as he saw 27 minutes last game against the Heat, I’m not too worried about a minutes restriction. Carroll only compiled 16.7 FanDuel points in his last game, however, I’m encouraged that he took 9 shots. Carroll has the ability to hit threes and contribute with rebounds and as I think he is going to get 25-30 minutes tonight, I think he’ll easily hit value at this low price tag.
