Draftkings Best Barracuda Championship DFS Picks 7/17/25

This week, Draftkings golf fans will be presented with the 2025 Barracuda Championship. Let’s take a look at this week’s event from a DFS perspective.

Before I dive into my DFS player selections for this tournament let’s review the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a golfer’s success at this week’s 2025 Barracuda Championship.

Where will the 2025 Barracuda Championship be played?

The 2025 Barracuda Championship will be played at the Tahoe Mountain Club (Old Greenwood Course) in Truckee, California. The golf course is a par 71 that measures approximately 7,480 yards.

Nick Dunlap won the 2024 Barracuda Championship with a cumulative four round score of +49. *Let us not forget that the Barracuda Championship utilizes the Stableford scoring system.

Will the Barracuda Championship have a traditional cut after two rounds?

The 202 Barracuda Championship will have a field of 156 players to start the tournament on Thursday. Upon the completion of two rounds, a cut will occur. The top 65 golfers (including ties) will make the cut.

Barracuda Championship Key Player Statistics

I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

2025 Barracuda Championship Draftkings DFS Picks

Cameron Champ $10,200

The talented American has amassed three top 19 finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a 14th place result at last week’s 2025 ISCO Championship. Additionally, Champ finished 17th at the 2023 Barracuda Championship. I think it’s fair to say that Champ is in outstanding form entering this week’s event.

Max Homa $9,400

Two weeks ago, Max Homa fired a first round 63 at the 2025 John Deere Classic en route to an eventual fifth-place finish.

Due to Max Homa’s quality result at the John Deere Classic I decided to take a hard look at the player data from the event to see how Homa fared relative to the field.

Upon the completion of four rounds of competitive play at the 2025 John Deere Classic, in relation to the field, Max Homa ranked tenth in driving distance (320.1), second in GIR (greens in regulation-81.9%), eighth in total birdies made (23) and 19th in bogey avoidance (7).

In summary, I fully expect Max Homa to continue his outstanding play at this week’s 2025 Barracuda Championship.

Kevin Roy $8,800

Kevin arrives at this week’s tournament in rather good form. More specifically, Roy has accumulated three top 18 finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including an eighth-place result at the 2025 Rocket Classic three weeks ago.

Garrick Higgo $7,800

Since the beginning of March, Garrick Higgo has played seven events on the PGA Tour. In those seven tournaments just mentioned, Higgo compiled four top 27 finishes, including a win at the 2025 Corales Puntacana Championship in April.

Austin Eckroat $7,700

Austin Eckroat has tallied two top 25 finishes in his last three tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an 11th place result at the John Deere Classic earlier this month.

Additional golfers I like to perform well at this week’s 2025 Barracuda Championship (Draftkings price noted): Nick Dunlap $8,000: Ricky Castillo $7,800: Taylor Montgomery $7,400: Nick Hardy $7,300: Hayden Springer $7,300.
