Draftkings Butterfield Bermuda Championship First Round Picks 11/14/24

Draftkings picks and predictions for the first round of the 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship.

This Thursday, Draftkings golf fans will be presented with the first round of the 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship. Let’s take a look at the first round of this event from a DFS perspective.

Before I discuss my Draftkings player selections, let’s review where the first round of the 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship will be played.

The first round of the 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship will be played at the Port Royal Golf Course. This golf course is a par 71 that measures approximately 6,828 yards.

I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

For those readers that are not aware, the rules and scoring for DraftKings single round showdown contests are vastly different than the traditional classic contests offered by the platform.

If you need to review the specific rules for the single round showdown contests feel free to check out the DraftKings website.

Here are my DraftKings player selections for the first round of the 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship.

2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship Draftkings First Round Picks

Matti Schmid $9,500

Matti Schmid has compiled two top five finishes in his last three events played on the PGA Tour, including a third-place finish at the 2024 Shriners Children’s Open four weeks ago.

Ben Griffin $9,700

The talented American has accumulated three top 24 finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an 11th-place result at the 2024 Black Desert Championship five weeks ago.

Ben Griffin is currently ranked fourth in overall scoring average (69.15), first in total birdies made (444), fourth in par four scoring average (3.96), 13th in bogey avoidance (12.71%), and 21st in scrambling (64,1%) on the PGA Tour.

It is noteworthy that Ben Griffin finished third at the 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship.

Greyson Sigg $7,800

Greyson Sigg arrives at this week’s tournament on the heels of two consecutive top 23 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 23rd place finish at the 2024 Shriners Children’s Open last month.

Sigg also checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Let me be more specific. Greyson Sigg is currently ranked 14th in GIR (greens in regulation-71.19%), 22nd in strokes gained tee to green (0.434), seventh in bogey avoidance (12.24%), and 11th in scrambling (65.01%) on the PGA Tour.

David Lipsky $7,500

Last week, David Lipsky fired a final round 67 at the 2024 World Wide Technology Championship on his way to an eventual sixth place finish.

Due to David Lipsky’s quality finish at the 2024 World Wide Technology Championship I decided to take a hard look at the relevant player statistics for the tournament to see how Lipsky fared relative to the field.

Upon the completion of four rounds of competitive play at the 2024 World Wide Technology Championship, in relation to the field, David Lipsky ranked first in driving accuracy (96.4%), third in total pars made (51) and second in bogey avoidance (3).

Additionally, David Lipsky has played well at this week’s PGA Tour event in the past. More specifically, Lipsky finished 13th at the 2023 Butterfield Bermuda Championship.

Additional golfers I like to perform well in the first round (Draftkings price noted): Doug Ghim $9,300: Lucas Glover $9,400: Justin Lower $9,200: Jhonattan Vegas $8,500: Daniel Berger $8,400: Henrik Norlander $7,800: Carson Young $7,900: Brandon Wu $6,700.
