This Thursday morning, Draftkings golf fans will be presented with the first round of the 2025 Butterfield Bermuda Championship. Let’s take a look at the first round of this tournament from a DFS perspective.

Before I discuss my Draftkings first round picks for this week’s event let’s review where the 2025 Butterfield Bermuda Championship will be played and if this tournament will have a traditional cut.

Where will the 2025 Butterfield Bermuda Championship be played?

The 2025 Butterfield Bermuda Championship will be played at the Port Royal Golf Course. This golf course is a par 71 that measures approximately 6,828 yards.

*I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest! Keep that in mind as you construct your lineups for this DFS slate.

For those readers that are not aware, the rules and scoring for DraftKings single round showdown contests are vastly different than the traditional classic contests offered by the platform.

If you need to review the specific rules for the single round showdown contests feel free to check out the DraftKings website.

Here are my DraftKings picks for the first round of the 2025 Butterfield Bermuda Championship.

Draftkings First Round Picks

Nicolas Echavarria $10,000

Nicolas Echavarria has amassed three top 19 finishes in his last five events played on the PGA Tour, including a ninth place result at the 2025 Baycurrent Classic earlier this month. Nicolas Echavarria also finished 23rd at the 2023 Butterfield Bermuda Championship.

Vince Whaley $9,400

Vince Whaley has compiled two top 17 finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive third place result at the 2025 Sanderson Farms Championship last month.

From an event/course history standpoint, Whaley certainly checks the box for me. For clarity, let me elaborate on my previous statement Since 2021, Vince Whaley has played the Butterfield Bermuda Championship three times. In the three tournaments just mentioned, Whaley amassed three top eight finishes, including a fifth place result at the 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship.

Matt Kuchar $8,900

The talented American arrives at this week’s event on the heels of three consecutive top 18 finishes on the PGA Tour, including an 11th place result at last week’s 2025 World Wide Technology Championship.

Greyson Sigg $7,600

The talented American has amassed three top 21 finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including a 19th place result at the 2025 Procore Championship in September.

Justin Lower $7,300

Three weeks ago, Justin lower shot a first round 66 at the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship on his way to a rather impressive third place finish.

Similar to Vince Whaley, Justin Lower has an outstanding record at this week’s PGA Tour event. Since 2021, Justin Lower has played the Butterfield Bermuda Championship four times. In those four events just noted, Lower tallied four top 17 finishes, including a fifth place result at the 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship.

Additional golfers I like to perform well in the first round of the 2025 Butterfield Bermuda Championship (Draftkings price noted): Rico Hoey $10,700: Matti Schmid $9,700: Alex Smalley $8,400: Seamus Power $7,500: Andrew Putnam $7,300.
