Before I dive into my DFS player selections for this tournament let’s review the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a golfer’s success at this week’s 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship.

I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.
Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!
FedEx St. Jude Championship Draftkings DFS Picks
Hideki Matsuyama $8,800
The 2021 Masters champion arrives at this week’s first FedEx Cup playoff event on the heels of three consecutive top 19 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 13th place result at the 2025 Rocket Classic last month.
Hideki Matsuyama certainly checks the box for me from an event/course history perspective. Let me be more specific. Since 2019, Hideki Matsuyama has played the FedEx St. Jude Championship five times. In those five tournaments just noted, Matsuyama accumulated four top 20 finishes, including a win at the 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Matt Fitzpatrick $9,700
The 2022 U.S. Open champion has compiled four top eight finishes in his last five tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive fourth-place result at the 2025 Open Championship three weeks ago. Matt Fitzpatrick also finished fifth at the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Russell Henley $10,000
Russell Henley arrives at this week’s tournament in rather good form. Henley has amassed four top ten finishes in his last five events played on the PGA Tour, including a second-place result at the 2025 Travelers Championship in June.
Henley is currently ranked fifth in total strokes gained (1.345), 14th in strokes gained approach (0.573), 15th in driving accuracy (67.26%), 18th in GIR (greens in regulation-70.34%) and fourth in proximity to the hole (34’3) on the PGA Tour.
Additionally, Henley finished sixth at the 2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Denny McCarthy $7,400
The talented American has tallied three top 12 finishes in his last five tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an 11th place result at last week’s 2025 Wyndham Championship.
Denny McCarthy has played well at the TPC Southwind in the past. McCarthy finished ninth at the 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Additional golfers I like to perform well at this week’s 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship (Draftkings price noted): Scottie Scheffler $13,000: Ludvig Aberg $9,500: Robert Macintyre $7,700: Wyndham Clark $7,600: Patrick Rodgers $6,100.
