San Francisco Giants vs. Toronto Blue Jays
July 19, 2025 3:07 pm EDT
Major League Baseball presents Draftkings baseball fans with an interleague matchup featuring the San Francisco Giants and the Toronto Blue Jays. Let’s take a look at this MLB game from a DFS perspective.
Before we dive into the San Francisco Giants vs. Toronto Blue Jays game let’s review the rules for the Draftkings MLB single game showdown contest.
Draftkings Single Game Showdown Contest Rules
You have $50,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your team captain. The captain accumulates 1.5 times the standard fantasy points. Additionally, the captain is 1.5 times the standard cost of the flex position.
The remaining four players in your lineup will receive the standard fantasy points. Having stated that, it is highly important for you to identify the correct player for your captain position if you hope to win a large field DFS GPP (guaranteed prize pool) showdown contest.
If you have additional questions regarding the rules for the single game showdown contest, I recommend that you check out the Draftkings website for more details.
*I recommend that all readers review the starting lineups for both teams prior to setting your DFS lineup for this one game slate.
Here are my Draftkings picks for tomorrow afternoon’s Giants vs. Blue Jays matchup.
Draftkings MLB DFS Picks
Captain-Logan Webb, Starting Pitcher, San Francisco Giants $12,400
On Saturday afternoon, Major League Baseball presents the second game of a three-game interleague series featuring the San Francisco Giants and the Toronto Blue Jays.
How are these two teams playing entering tomorrow’s game? The San Francisco Giants arrive at the second game of this three-game series with the Toronto Blue Jays playing below average baseball. The Giants have lost four of the team’s last five games played in the 2025 MLB regular season, including a 5-2 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers five days ago.
In direct contrast to the San Francisco Giants, the Toronto Blue Jays are playing good baseball entering the second game of this interleague series. More specifically, the Blue Jays have won nine of the team’s last 13 games played in the 2025 MLB regular season, including a 6-1 win over the Chicago White Sox last week.
Now that we have determined how both of these teams are currently playing let’s turn our attention to tomorrow afternoon’s contest. Starting pitcher Logan Webb has certainly been a solid performer for the San Francisco Giants this season. With that said, how has Webb performed from a statistical perspective in 2025? Let’s examine the veteran hurler’s relevant game data from the 2025 MLB regular season to answer that question.
In 20 starts made this season, San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Logan Webb has amassed a 9-6 (win-loss record), a 1.17 WHIP (Walks and Hits per Inning Pitched) and a 2.94 ERA (Earned Run Average) which ranks 18th in MLB. Additionally, Logan Webb has compiled 139 strikeouts (fourth in MLB) while allowing 28 walks in 125.2 innings pitched this season.
Last month, in the San Francisco Giants 2-1 victory over the Cleveland Guardians, San Francisco starting pitcher Logan Webb certainly pitched at a high level. Let me be more specific. Webb pitched seven quality innings while scattering seven hits and no walks in the Giants win over Cleveland. It should also be noted that Webb struck out nine Guardians batters in the Giants defeat of Cleveland.
In my opinion, Logan Webb is the most likely player to post the most Draftkings points in tomorrow’s MLB regular season game. Having stated that, I am backing San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Logan Webb at the captain position for this one game MLB DFS slate.
Flex plays I like to play well in this MLB regular season contest (Draftkings price noted): Eric Lauer, Starting Pitcher (Toronto Blue Jays) $10,200: Vladimir Guerreo Jr., First Baseman (Toronto Blue Jays) $9,600: Wilmer Flores, First Baseman (San Francisco Giants) $5,200.
