The Tigers have lost four of the team’s last six games played in the 2025 MLB regular season, including an 11-1 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals earlier this week.
Conversely, the Cleveland Guardians arrive at the final game of this American League series playing good baseball. Let me be more specific. The Guardians have won four of the team’s last five games played this season, including a 5-1 win over the Minnesota Twins three days ago.
Now that we have ascertained how both of these teams are currently playing let’s shift our attention to tonight’s contest. Starting pitcher Tarik Skubal has been a standout performer for the Detroit Tigers starting rotation this season. Having stated that, how has the talented pitcher performed from a statistical standpoint? Let’s review Skubal’s relevant game data from the 2025 MLB regular season to answer that question.
Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Tarik Skubal has compiled a 4-2 (win-loss record), a 2.87 ERA (Earned Run Average), and a 0.94 WHIP (Walks and Hits per Inning Pitched) in 2025.
