On Tuesday night, Major League Baseball presents the opening game of a three-game National League series featuring the New York Mets and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
How are these two teams playing entering this National League game? The New York Mets are playing good baseball entering this evening’s matchup with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Mets have won eight of the team’s last nine games played in the 2025 MLB regular season, including a 5-3 win over the Colorado Rockies two days ago.
In direct contrast to the New York Mets, the Los Angeles Dodgers are not playing well entering this MLB game. More specifically, the Dodgers have lost two of the team’s last three games played this season, including a 7-3 loss to the New York Yankees last week.
Now that we have determined how both of these teams are currently playing let’s shift our focus to tonight’s contest. Starting pitcher Tyler Megill has certainly been an essential part of the New York Mets starting pitching rotation this season. Having stated that, how has Megill performed from a statistical perspective in 2025? Let’s examine Megill’s player data from the 2025 MLB regular season to answer that question.
In 11 starts made in 2025, New York Mets starting pitcher Tyler Megill has compiled a 4-4 (win-loss record), a 3.52 ERA (Earned Run Average) and a 1.36 WHIP (Walks and Hits per Inning Pitched). In my opinion, Tyler Megill is the most likely player to post the most Draftkings points in today’s MLB regular season game. With that said, I am backing New York Mets starting pitcher Tyler Megill at the captain position for this one game MLB DFS slate.
