Draftkings Omega European Masters First Round Picks 8/28/25

This Thursday morning, Draftkings golf fans will be presented with the first round of the 2025 Omega European Masters. Let’s take a look at the first round of this tournament from a DFS perspective.

Before I discuss my Draftkings player selections for this week’s event let’s review where the first round of the 2025 Omega European Masters will be played.

The 2025 Omega European Masters will be played at the Crans-Sur-Sierre Golf Club in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. The golf course is a par 70 that measures approximately 6,823 yards. It should be noted that this golf course is approximately 5,000 feet above sea level.

*Matt Wallace won the 2024 Omega European Masters with a cumulative four round score of 11 under par.

I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest! Keep that in mind as you construct your lineups for this DFS slate.

For those readers that are not aware, the rules and scoring for DraftKings single round showdown contests are vastly different than the traditional classic contests offered by the platform.

If you need to review the specific rules for the single round showdown contests feel free to check out the DraftKings website.

Here are my DraftKings picks for the first round of the 2025 Omega European Masters.

Draftkings First Round Picks

Marco Penge $10,000

The talented Englishman arrives at this week’s event on the heels of two consecutive top six finishes on the DP World Tour, including a win at the 2025 Danish Golf Championship two weeks ago.

Due to Marco Penge’s quality finish at the 2025 Danish Golf Championship, I decided to take a hard look at the relevant player statistics for the event to determine how Penge fared relative to the field.

Upon the completion of four rounds of competitive play at the 2025 Danish Golf Championship, in relation to the field, Marco Penge ranked first in GIR (greens in regulation-79.17%), first in strokes gained tee to green (4.20), fifth in strokes gained approach (1.87), second in scrambling (80%), first in par four scoring average (3.86) and second in bogey avoidance (5).

What did we learn from the data just presented? Marco Penge is currently playing golf at a high-level on the DP World Tour. With that said, I fully expect that trend to continue at this week’s 2025 Omega European Masters.

Rasmus Hojgaard $9,500

Rasmus Hojgaard arrives at this week’s event on the heels of two consecutive top 13 finishes on the DP World Tour, including a second-place result at the 2025 Danish Golf Championship two weeks ago. Additionally, Hojgaard won the 2021 Omega European Masters.

Adrien Saddier $7,800

Adrien Saddier has amassed two top 24 finishes in his last five events played on the DP World Tour, including an impressive win at the 2025 Italian Open in June. Additionally, Saddier finished 13th at the 2023 Omega European Masters.

Jason Scrivener $7,500

Jason Scrivener has compiled two top 12 finishes in his last four tournaments played on the DP World Tour, including an eighth place result at the 2025 Barracuda Championship five weeks ago.

It is noteworthy that Jason Scrivener has played well at the Crans-Sur-Sierre Golf Club in the past. Scrivener finished fourth at the 2024 Omega European Masters.

Additional golfers I like to perform well in the first round of the 2025 Omega European Masters (Draftkings price noted): Nicolai Hojgaard $9,800: Alex Fitzpatrick $8,100: Marcel Siem $7,500.
