The Detroit Pistons travel to the Barclays Center for a matchup with the Brooklyn Nets. Let’s take a look at this NBA game from a Draftkings perspective.
Before we dive into my DFS picks for tonight’s Pistons vs. Nets game let’s review an important note regarding the rules for the single game showdown contests.
For those readers who are not aware, the rules and scoring for DraftKings single game showdown contests are vastly different than the traditional classic contests offered by the platform.

Here are my Draftkings picks for tonight’s Detroit Pistons vs. Brooklyn Nets matchup.
Draftkings Player Picks
Captain-Cam Thomas $9,400
Brooklyn Nets shooting guard Cam Thomas has been posting some outstanding offensive numbers in 2024. Let me be more specific. In the Brooklyn Nets last four games played this season, Cam Thomas has averaged 26.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 0.5 steals a game.
Looking at Cam Thomas’s last four games even more closely you will see that Cam Thomas certainly does not mind shooting the basketball. Over the last four games just mentioned, Thomas has accumulated a whopping 81 field goal attempts.
That means over the course of the last four games that Cam Thomas has shot the basketball over 20 times a game. Clearly, Cam Thomas is the heart and soul of this Brooklyn Nets offense.
It should also be mentioned that Cam Thomas will be facing a Detroit Pistons defense that has had issues containing opposing shooting guards lately. In the last 30 games played in the NBA, Detroit is ranked a dismal 25th in total Draftkings points (45.1) allowed a game to the shooting guard position.
Flex Plays
Mikal Bridges $8,800
If the Brooklyn Nets are going to defeat the Detroit Pistons tonight, Brooklyn small forward Mikal Bridges is going to have to play at an elite level. Judging by his recent play on the basketball court, Bridges is certainly up for the challenge. In the Brooklyn Nets last five games played, Mikal Bridges has averaged an impressive 36.5 Draftkings points a game.
Similar to Cam Thomas, Brooklyn forward Mikal Bridges draws a Detroit Pistons defense that is having trouble allowing fantasy points to the small forward position.
In the last 30 games played in the NBA, the Pistons are ranked 29th in total Draftkings points (46.7) allowed a game to the small forward position. Considering the fact that the NBA has a total of 30 teams in the entire league, 29th is definitely not good.
Additional flex plays I like this evening: Jaden Ivey $8,200: Nic Claxton $8,600: Jalen Duren $9,000: Dorian Finney-Smith $5,000: Jalen Wilson $2,600.
