Toronto Blue Jays vs. St. Louis Cardinals
June 11, 2025 2:15 pm EDT

Major League Baseball presents FanDuel baseball fans with an interleague matchup featuring the Toronto Blue Jays and the St. Louis Cardinals. Let’s take a look at this MLB game from a DFS perspective.

Before we dive into the Toronto Blue Jays vs. St. Louis Cardinals game let’s review the rules for the FanDuel single game showdown contest.

FanDuel Single Game Contest Rules

Here are the FanDuel single game contest rules. You have $60,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your team MVP. The MVP accumulates 1.5x times the standard FanDuel fantasy points value. Additionally, the MVP is 1.5 times the standard cost of the flex position.

The remaining five players in your lineup will be flex plays. The five flex positions will receive the standard FanDuel points value. Having stated that, it is highly important for you to identify the correct player for your MVP position if you hope to win a large field GPP (guaranteed prize pool) FanDuel single game contest.

If you have additional questions regarding the rules for the single game contest, I highly recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details.

*It should be noted that FanDuel does not utilize the pitcher position in single game MLB contests. Having stated that, only batters are available for single game MLB lineups on the FanDuel platform.

Here are my FanDuel picks for this afternoon’s Blue Jays vs. Cardinals matchup.

FanDuel MLB DFS Picks

MVP-George Springer, Outfielder, Toronto Blue Jays $12,200

On Wednesday afternoon, Major League Baseball presents the final game of a three-game interleague series featuring the Toronto Blue Jays and the St. Louis Cardinals.

How are these two teams playing entering today’s MLB game? The Toronto Blue Jays arrive at the third game of this three-game series with the St. Louis Cardinals playing good baseball. The Blue Jays have won six of the team’s last seven games played in the 2025 MLB regular season, including a dominant 9-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies last week.

In direct contrast to the Toronto Blue Jays, the St. Louis Cardinals are playing below average baseball entering today’s interleague game. More specifically, the Cardinals have lost three of the team’s last four games played this season, including a 7-3 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers three days ago.

Now that we have identified how both of these teams are currently playing let’s shift our focus to this afternoon’s contest. Talented outfielder George Springer has been a standout performer for the Toronto Blue Jays in 2025. Having stated that, how has Springer performed from a statistical perspective this season? Let’s review Springer’s relevant game data from the 2025 MLB regular season to answer that question.

In the 54 games that George Springer has played for the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2025 MLB regular season, Springer has compiled a .251 batting average, 49 hits (ten home runs), 35 walks, 30 RBIs (runs batted in), 35 runs scored, a .365 OBP (On-Base Percentage) and a .852 OPS (On-Base Plus Slugging).

Last month, in the Toronto Blue Jays 5-3 victory over the Cleveland Guardians, Blue Jays outfielder George Springer played exceptionally well. In the Blue Jays win over the Guardians, Springer tallied one hit (one home run), two runs scored and two walks. It should also be noted that in Toronto’s defeat of the Guardians, Springer tallied 33.9 FanDuel points.

In my opinion, George Springer is the most likely player to amass the most FanDuel points in this MLB game. For that specific reason, I am backing Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer at the MVP position for this one game MLB DFS slate.

Flex plays I like in this game (FanDuel price noted): Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. (Toronto Blue Jays) $11,400: Willson Contreras, First Baseman (St. Louis Cardinals) $8,600: Ivan Hererra, Catcher (St. Louis Cardinals) $9,600.
