We make our first and only trip to Illinois for the John Deere Classic. This is a watered down field due to the Scottish Open also going on, so you really have to dig deep to find your value this week. Of course, for DraftKings, we have six sections and a $50,000 to spend.

PGA Golf Fantasy: John Deere Classic DraftKings Picks, Lineup, Rankings - 7/12/18

Peter Casey-USA TODAY Sports

Danny Lee, $8,400 - Danny Lee has had an awful stretch of missed cuts, but he’s finished 15th or better in each of his last three times he’s made it to the weekend. Lee gave us 87 points at the Travelers Championship, and he finished third at this event back in 2015. Lee is a steal at this price if he can finally make a cut.

Sung Kang, $8,200 - Sung Kang is coming off a 107.5 fantasy points at the Quicken Loans National and has now topped 70 points in two of his last four events. While Kang hasn’t had many back-to-back noteworthy performances, he does have two top-15 finishes in his three appearances at the John Deere Classic.

Kevin Streelman, $8,100 - Kevin Streelman has topped 70 fantasy points in three of his last four events, so I’m not really worried about his poor showing last week at the Greenbrier. In this field, Streelman should have a bounce back performance. Streelman also has a top-10 finish in the 2012 John Deere Classic.

Brian Gay, $8,600 - Brian Gay has earned no less than 72 fantasy points in five of his last six vents, so you’re getting really consistent production for a rather cheap price. Gay has missed the cut in three of his last four appearances at the John Deere Classic, but he did have a top-10 finish in 2011.

Scott Piercy, $8,300 - Scott Piercy hasn’t provided much recent value fantasy wise outside of his 80.5 points at the AT&T Byron Nelson. It’s been a rough season for Piercy to put it kindly. The good news is that Piercy has made the cut in each of his last five appearances at the John Deere Classic and has an average finish of 8.5 the last two years.

Kevin Tway, $8,000 - Kevin Tway has top-10 finishes in three of his last six events and just gave us 104 points at the Travelers Championship. When Tway is on, he’s been on as of late. Tway also finished 12th in last years John Deere Classic.
