2021 Saudi International: European Tour Golf Picks, Odds, Predictions 2/4/21

The European Tour’s Saudi International begins this Thursday!

The 2020 Saudi International will be played at the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club in Saudi Arabia. This golf course is a par 70 that measures 7,010 yards. This track features Paspalum fairways and rather large green complexes.

This golf course is near the Red Sea and winds are often a factor. Due to the possibility that wind could be a factor at this week’s event, I highly recommend that you identify golfers for your potential bets that can perform at a high level in windy conditions. I want to be betting on guys that can adjust to the weather change if needed.

This is the the third consecutive year that this tournament has been on the European Tour schedule. The host venue of this year’s event, the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club, also hosted the previous two Saudi International events in 2019 and 2020.

Based on my review of the two previous Saudi International events, I observed a few specific key player statistics that were needed for success at the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club. The key player statistics that I have identified as important in the two previous events played on this course were the following: driving distance, scrambling, GIR (greens in regulation), and putts per GIR. Keep those specific skill sets in mind as you look for golfers to bet on this week.

Now that we have identified some important factors to consider when making wagers for this week’s European Tour event, let’s shift our focus to what really matters!

Here are my favorite bets for this week’s 2021 Saudi International.

Here is a golfer to consider placing on your card to finish in the top 10.

Bryson DeChambeau +110 – The 27 year old American arrives at this week’s event in good form. DeChambeau has three top eight finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including a win at the 2020 U.S. Open. I also like the fact that Bryson has played well at the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club previously. DeChambeau finished sixth at the 2019 Saudi International. Frankly, I would be shocked if Bryson did not finish inside the top ten this week.

Here are two golfers to consider placing on your card to finish in the top 20.

Matthias Schwab +200 – The talented young Austrian has five top 25 finishes in his last six events played on the European Tour, including a 14th place result at the South African Open last month.

Alexander Levy +400 – Levy arrives at this week’s European Tour event on the heels of two consecutive top 25 finishes, including a ninth place result at last week’s Omega Dubai Desert Classic. Levi also finished fifth at the 2019 Saudi International. I think Levy’s skill set fits this week’s course nicely.
