2021 Magical Kenya Open: European Tour Golf Picks, Odds, Predictions 3/18/21

This week, the European Tour presents golf enthusiasts with the 2021 Magical Kenya Open.

Before I dive into my favorite golf bets for this week’s European Tour event let’s take a brief look at the golf course the field will play this week.

The 2021 Magical Kenya Open will be played at the Karen Country Club in Nairobi, Kenya. The Karen Country Club golf course is a par 71 that measures 6,921 yards. In my opinion, this track is best described as a classical golf course. The course features eight water hazards and bermuda grass greens.

The Magical Kenya Open made it’s debut on the European Tour in 2019. It should be noted that the Karen Country Club hosted the event in 2019. Unfortunately, the 2020 Magical Kenya Open was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. If you are interested in diving deep into previous course history data, the Karen Country Club hosted the Kenya Open when it was a European Challenge Tour event from 2013-2016. Guido Migliozzi won the 2019 Magical Kenya Open with a four round cumulative score of 16 under par.

Now that we have discussed the golf course, let’s turn our attention to my favorite golf bets for the 2021 Magical Kenya Open.

Here is a golfer to consider placing on your card to win.

Kurt Kitayama +1600 – The American has three straight top 20 finishes on the European Tour, including a ninth place finish at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters last week. It should also be noted that Kitayama has two wins on the European Tour. His last win on the European Tour was the 2019 Oman Open. I think it is clear to see that Kurt Kitayama is the class of this week’s 2021 Magical Kenya Open field.

Here is a golfer to consider placing on your card to finish in the top five.

Gaganjeet Bhullar +1400 – The 32 year old Indian has two second place finishes in his last four events played (European Tour and Professional Golf Tour of India), including a win at the Tata Steel Tour Championship. Last week, Bhullar fired a final round 65 en route to an eventual second place finish in Qatar. It should also be noted that Bhullar finished fifth at the 2019 Magical Kenya Open.

Here is a golfer to consider placing on your card to finish in the top ten.

Niklas Lemke +450 – The 36 year old arrives at this week’s Magical Kenya Open on the heels of four consecutive top 11 finishes on the European Tour, including a ninth place result at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. I also like the fact that I know that Lemke likes playing the Karen Country Club golf course. Lemke finished 12th at the 2019 Magical Kenya Open.
