This week, the LPGA Tour presents the golf betting community with the 2021 ANA Inspiration

Before I discuss my favorite golf bets for the first major on the LPGA Tour this year let’s take a look at the golf course the field will play and a few key facts that I think are relevant to those placing wagers on the 2021 ANA Inspiration.

The 2021 ANA Inspiration will be played at the Mission Hills Country Club (Dinah Shore Tournament Course) in Rancho Mirage, California. The Dinah Shore Tournament Course is a par 72 that measures 6,780 yards. Water is in play on four holes. Additionally, 73 bunkers are strategically placed throughout the golf course. The 18th hole is a 646 yard par five that always seems to play a significant role in determining the eventual champion of the ANA Inspiration each and every year.

Key Facts

The ANA Inspiration is the longest running major at a single venue next to Augusta National in all of professional golf. The ANA Inspiration debuted on the LPGA Tour schedule in 1972 and became a major in 1983.

More than a hundred trees have been removed from the Dinah Shore Tournament Course over the last year.

Now let’s shift our focus to my favorite golf bets for the 2021 ANA Inspiration.

Here is a golfer to consider placing on your card to win.

Lexi Thompson +1600 – The 26 year old American has three top seven finishes in her last four events played on the LPGA Tour, including a second place result at last week’s Kia Classic.

I also like the fact that Thompson has had some outstanding results at the ANA Inspiration in the past. Let me be more specific. Thompson has played the ANA Inspiration every year since 2014. In those seven events played, Thompson has an impressive six top seven finishes, including a win at the 2014 ANA Inspiration.

Here are two golfers to consider placing on your card to finish in the top ten.

Minjee Lee +300 – Lee arrives at the year’s first major championship on the heels of a fifth place finish at the Kia Classic last week. Additionally, Lee certainly fits the narrative of a course horse. Lee has played the ANA Inspiration seven times since 2014. In those seven events just mentioned, Lee has six top 26 finishes, including a third place result at the 2017 ANA Inspiration.

Stacy Lewis +550 – The two time major champion arrives at this week’s ANA Inspiration in very good form. Lewis has two top eight finishes in her last three events played on the LPGA Tour, including a seventh place result at last week’s Kia Classic. Lewis also finished fifth at the 2020 ANA Inspiration.
