This Thursday morning, the first round of the 2021 Masters will begin!

Before I discuss my favorite longshot golf bets for this week’s 2021 Masters, let’s take a look at the betting odds of past champions of this tournament to see if we can find any historical trends.

Here is a list of the last ten winners of the Masters including that golfer’s opening odds the week they won the event and the score that player posted to win:

2020 Dustin Johnson +900 (-20)

2019 Tiger Woods +1600 (-13)

2018 Patrick Reed +5500 (-15)

2017 Sergio Garcia +4500 (-9)

2016 Danny Willet +6600 (-5)

2015 Jordan Spieth +1100 (-18)

2014 Bubba Watson +2800 (-8)

2013 Adam Scott +2800 (-9)

2012 Bubba Watson +5500 (-10)

2011 Charl Schwartzel +9000 (-14)

It’s time to get to what I love doing the most! Here are my favorite longshot bets for the 2021 Masters.

Here are three golfers to consider placing on your card to finish in the top 20.

Brian Harman +300 – The 34 year old American has three top eight finishes in his last six tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a third place result at the Players Championship last month.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 Masters field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Harman ranks 14th in strokes gained off the tee, sixth in strokes gained putting, 15th in strokes gained around the green, and 13th in driving accuracy.

Matt Kuchar +300 – The 42 year old arrives at this week’s 2021 Masters in very good form. Let me be more specific. Kuchar has two consecutive top 12 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a fifth place result at the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play event last month. Additionally, Kuchar finished fourth at the 2021 Masters.

Danny Willet +550 – The 2016 Masters champion has two top 16 finishes in his last six events played (PGA and European Tours combined), including an eighth place result at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship two weeks ago.
