Palmetto Championship @ Congaree: PGA Tour Golf Picks, Odds, Predictions 6/10/21
June 10, 2021 7:00 am EDT
This week, the PGA Tour returns to the state of South Carolina for the inaugural Palmetto Championship @ Congaree.
Before I dive into my favorite golf bets for this week’s PGA Tour event let’s take a look at the golf course the field will play and some additional facts that I feel are relevant to those that will be placing wagers on the 2021 Palmetto Championship @ Congaree.
The 2021 Palmetto Championship @ Congaree will be played at the Congaree Golf Club in Ridgeland, South Carolina. This golf course is a par 71 that measures approximately 7,655 yards. This golf course was designed by Tom Fazio in 2017. This is without a doubt a very long golf course. However, the course does offer the field two par fours that are reachable off the tee. Water is in play on ten of the 18 holes. This course does not have rough that most traditional golf courses present on the PGA Tour.
The Congaree Golf Club will be hosting a PGA Tour event for the first time this week. The RBC Canadian Open was originally scheduled to be played this week. However, the 2021 RBC Canadian Open was canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Additional Tom Fazio Courses on the PGA Tour
- Atunyote Golf Club – Hosted the Turning Stone Championship in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.
- Corales Golf Club – This golf course has hosted the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship since 2018.
Now let’s turn our attention to my favorite golf bets for the 2021 Palmetto Championship @ Congaree.
Here is a golfer to consider placing on your card to finish in the top five.
Ian Poulter +550
The 45 year old has accumulated two top 21 finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive third place result at the 2021 Charles Schwab Challenge two weeks ago.
In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 Palmetto Championship field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Poulter ranks seventh in strokes gained putting, 13th in strokes gained tee to green, and eighth in strokes gained around the green.

Patton Kizzire +450
Yes, I know that Kizzire missed the cut at last week’s Memorial Tournament. I also know that prior to that missed cut at the Memorial, Kizzire had two consecutive top three finishes, including a third place result at the AT&T Byron Nelson last month. I think the Congaree Golf Club course fits Kizzire’s game perfectly.

Vincent Whaley +300
Whaley arrives at this week’s 2021 Palmetto Championship @ Congaree in good form. Let me be more specific. Whaley has three consecutive top 26 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 20th place result at the Charles Schwab Challenge.
