2021 Volunteers Of America Classic
July 1, 2021 8:20 am EDT
This week, the LPGA Tour travels to Texas for the 2021 Volunteers Of America Classic.
Before I discuss my favorite golf bets for this week’s LPGA Tour event let’s take a look at the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most important to success at this week’s 2021 Volunteers Of America Classic.
The 2021 Volunteers Of America Classic will be played at the Old American Golf Club in The Colony, Texas. This golf course is a par 71 that measures 6,459 yards. This track will present this week’s field with three par five holes. This track also features 123 bunkers that are strategically placed throughout the golf course. It should also be noted that the Old American Golf Club has hosted the Volunteers Of America Classic since 2018.
The key player statistics that I will be focusing on this week are strokes gained off the tee, GIR (greens in regulation), driving accuracy, and putts per GIR.
Now let’s get to what I love doing the most! Here are my favorite bets for the 2021 Volunteers Of America Classic.

Jin-Young Ko +700
The 25 year old South Korean has played seven tournaments on the LPGA Tour since the beginning of April. In those seven events just mentioned, Jin-Young Ko has accumulated four top 17 finishes, including an impressive seventh place result at the 2021 U.S. Women’s Open. For the record, this week’s field is nowhere near the talent level of the field that Ko faced at this year’s U.S. Women’s Open. My point is simple, if Ko can manage a seventh place finish at a major championship she certainly can win this week’s 2021 Volunteers Of America Classic quite easily.
Jin-Young Ko also checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Ko currently ranks tenth in driving accuracy (80.93%) and sixth in GIR (greens in regulation-77.78%) on the LPGA Tour.
It should also be noted that Ko finished fifth at the 2020 Volunteers Of America Classic.

Yealimi Noh +400
The 19 year old American arrives at this week’s 2021 Volunteers Of America Classic in good form. More specifically, Yealimi Noh has two top 15 finishes in her last three tournaments played on the LPGA Tour, including a 15th place result at last week’s 2021 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
Noh also checks the box for me when it comes to previous event history. Noh finished second at the 2020 Volunteers Of America Classic.
