This week, the Korn Ferry Tour travels to Indiana for the 2021 Korn Ferry Tour Championship.

Before I dive into my favorite golf bets for the final Korn Ferry Tour event of the season let’s take a quick look at the golf course the field will play and the key statistics that I feel are the most important to a golfer’s success this week.

The 2021 Korn Ferry Tour Championship will be played at the Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Indiana. This course is a par 72 that measures approximately 7,242 yards. This track features four par 5 holes that are reachable for the golfer that can hit the ball accurately from the fairway.

Brandon Wu won the 2020 Korn Ferry Tour Championship with a four round cumulative score of 18 under par. Having stated that, I think that the golfer that eventually wins this week’s Korn Ferry Tour Championship will post a four round score of at least 15 under par.

It should be noted that the Victoria National Golf Club has hosted the Korn Ferry Tour Championship since 2019.

The key player player statistics that I will be focusing on this week are GIR (greens in regulation), driving accuracy, strokes gained approach, driving distance, and strokes gained putting.

Here is a golfer to consider placing on your card to finish in the top five.

Adam Svensson +650

The current 165th ranked golfer in the OWGR (Official World Golf Rankings) arrives at this week’s 2021 Korn Ferry Tour Championship in rather good form. Svensson has played six tournaments on the Korn Ferry Tour since the beginning of July. In those six events just mentioned, Svensson has accumulated four top 20 finishes, including an impressive win at last week’s 2021 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship.

Svensson also checks the box for me when it comes to previous event/course history. Adam Svensson finished 15th at the 2019 Korn Ferry Championship.

Adam Svensson is currently ranked 14th in scoring average (69.26), sixth in driving accuracy (71.60%), 12th in GIR (greens in regulation-73.39%), and third in total birdies made (629) on the Korn Ferry Tour.

Here is a player to consider placing on your card to finish in the top ten.

Taylor Pendrith +350

The 30 year old Canadian has played six tournaments (Korn Ferry and PGA Tours combined) since the beginning of July. In those six events just mentioned, Pendrith has accumulated five top 21 finishes, including a fourth place result at the 2021 TPC Colorado Championship at Heron Lakes. Diving into that six event stretch more closely you will see that Pendrith posted two top 19 finishes on the PGA Tour (2021 Barracuda Championship-13th: 2021 Barbasol Championship-11th).

Taylor Pendrith also checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Pendrith currently ranks 13th in scoring average (69.25), third in driving distance (323.2 yards), ninth in scrambling (64.80%), and seventh in birdie or better percentage (35.23%) on the Korn Ferry Tour.
