Pelican Women's Championship
November 11, 2021 7:00 am EDT
This week, the LPGA Tour travels to Florida for the Pelican Women’s Championship.
Before I discuss my favorite tournament matchup bets for the 2021 Pelican Women’s Championship let’s take a look at the current leaders in scoring average on the LPGA Tour that are in this week’s field.
Top Five Golfers in Scoring Average
- Nelly Korda 69.07
- Jin Young Ko 69.18
- Lydia Ko 69.61
- Jessica Korda 69.92
- Brooke Henderson 69.95
Now that we have determined who the top five golfers with regard to scoring average are on the LPGA Tour (in this week’s field) let’s shift our attention to my favorite tournament matchup bets for this week’s 2021 Pelican Women’s Championship.
Brooke Henderson -110 over Danielle Kang
Brooke Henderson arrives at this week’s 2021 Pelican Women’s Championship on the heels of two consecutive top 25 finishes on the LPGA Tour, including a second place result at the 2021 ShopRite LPGA Classic last month.
Henderson also checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Brooke Henderson is currently ranked ninth in driving distance (273.81 yards), fourth in GIR (greens in regulation-77.03%), and fifth in scoring average (69.96) on the LPGA Tour.

I also like the fact that Brooke Henderson has performed well at this week’s LPGA event previously. Henderson finished sixth at the 2020 Pelican Women’s Championship.
Celine Boutier -115 over Jennifer Kupcho
Celine Boutier arrives at this week’s LPGA event playing outstanding golf. Let me be more specific. Since the beginning of September, Celine Boutier has played six tournaments (LPGA and Ladies European Tours combined). In those six events just mentioned, Boutier has accumulated four top 26 finishes, including two wins (2021 Ladies French Open, 2021 ShopRite LPGA Classic).
Boutier is currently ranked 18th in scoring average (70.31) and eighth in total birdies made (270) on the LPGA Tour.
I should also note that Boutier’s opponent in this matchup (Jennifer Kupcho) has not been playing well lately. To better shed light on my previous statement, let’s take a quick look at Kupcho’s last two tournaments played on the LPGA Tour. Kupcho finished 52nd at the 2021 BMW Ladies Championship and missed the cut at the 2021 ShopRite Classic. Both of the events just noted took place last month.
