This week, the PGA Tour travels to Georgia for the RSM Classic.
Before I discuss my favorite golf bets for this week’s PGA Tour event let’s take a quick look at this tournament’s unique format and the key player statistics that I think are the most important to a player’s success at this week’s RSM Classic.
The first two rounds of the RSM Classic will have the entire field of competitors play two different golf courses. The two courses the field will play in the opening two rounds are the Plantation Course and the Seaside Course at the Sea Island Golf Resort in Sea Island, Georgia.
After the completion of two rounds, the traditional cut will occur and the top 65 players and ties will move on to the weekend. The final two rounds of competitive golf will be played exclusively on the Seaside Course.
The key player statistics that I am focusing on this week are driving accuracy, strokes gained ball striking, GIR (greens in regulation), bogey avoidance, and strokes gained putting.

Now let’s shift our attention to my favorite golf bets for this week’s RSM Classic!
Here are three golfers to consider placing on your card to finish in the top 20.
Tyler Duncan +450
The 32 year old American has accumulated two top 29 finishes in his last three tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a 14th place result at the Sanderson Farms Championship last month.
Tyler Duncan also checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. In relation to this week’s current listed RSM Classic field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Duncan ranks fifth in driving accuracy, ninth in GIR (greens in regulation), and sixth in proximity to the hole.
It should also be noted that Tyler Duncan won the 2019 RSM Classic.
Andrew Landry +450
The 34 year old Texan has accumulated two top seven finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a fourth place result at the Sanderson Farms Championship.
In relation to this week’s current listed RSM Classic field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Andrew Landry ranks third in driving accuracy, ninth in bogey avoidance, and eighth in strokes gained on par fours.
I also like the fact that Andrew Landry has performed at a high level at this week’s PGA Tour event previously. Landry finished fourth at the 2020 RSM Classic.
Hayden Buckley +400
Hayden Buckley arrives at this week’s RSM Classic in rather good form. Buckley has accumulated two top eight finishes in his last three events played on the PGA Tour, including an eighth place result at the Shriners Children’s Hospitals Open five weeks ago.
In relation to this week’s current listed RSM Classic field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Hayden Buckley ranks ninth in driving accuracy, third in GIR (greens in regulation), and seventh in bogey avoidance.
