This week, the PGA Tour travels to Maryland for the 2022 Wells Fargo Championship.

Before I dive into my favorite golf bets for the 2022 Wells Fargo Championship let’s take a quick look at the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I feel are the most vital to a golfer’s success this week.

The 2022 Wells Fargo Championship will be played at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm in Maryland. This golf course is a par 70 that measures approximately 7,160 yards. TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm has hosted PGA Tour events in the past, including the 2018 and 2017 Quicken Loan National. Based on my assessment of the key player statistics from the two Quicken Loan National tournaments played on this course previously, it is apparent to me that if a golfer wants to have success at TPC Potomac he needs to find the fairway off the tee early and often.

The key player statistics that I will be focusing on this week are strokes gained approach, driving accuracy, strokes gained ball striking, and strokes gained off the tee.

Now let’s shift our focus to my favorite bets for the 2022 Wells Fargo Championship.

Here are two golfers to consider placing on your card to finish in the top ten.

Max Homa +300

Since the beginning of January, Max Homa has played seven tournaments on the PGA Tour. In those seven events just mentioned, Homa has accumulated an impressive five top 17 finishes, including a tenth place result at the 2022 Genesis Invitational in February.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2022 Wells Fargo Championship field, in the last 24 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Max Homa ranks seventh in strokes gained ball striking, 12th in strokes gained off the tee, and 15th in strokes gained approach.

Keegan Bradley +300

Keegan Bradley has accumulated three top 11 finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including a fifth place result at the 2022 Players Championship in March.

Keegan Bradley certainly checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. In relation to this week’s current listed 2022 Wells Fargo Championship field, in the last 24 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Keegan Bradley ranks fourth in strokes gained tee to green, 12th in strokes gained ball striking, and sixth in birdie or better percentage.
